www.cnn.com/2019/12/05/sport/luke-walton-kelli-tennant-lawsuit-dropped/index.htmlFormer sports reporter Kelli Tennant has dropped a lawsuit that accused NBA coach Luke Walton of the Sacramento Kings of sexual assault. Tennant's attorneys filed a request that the lawsuit be dismissed in Superior Court in Los Angeles County on Tuesday, according to court documents obtained by CNN. The request asked that the lawsuit be dismissed with prejudice, meaning the accusations cannot be brought against Walton again. Additional information about why the lawsuit was dropped or if any settlement was involved was not included in the court documents. CNN has reached out to attorneys for Tennant and Walton for comment. By it being dismissed with prejudice does that mean that Walton paid some money to make this all go away, or did Kelli realize she was blowing money on something she was never going to win? Also with this being dismissed in prejudice, and Kelli made this up or exaggerated, can Walton counter sue her for defamation of character or damages? Dismissed with prejudice means that she cannot pursue these claims again. The rest (was there a settlement, can he file defamation claims, etc) is just pure speculation.
