I only saw end of 2nd and 3rd, but every transition ball Reid had he hit a soft shot right at Casey. You’d never guess he’s one of the hardest hitters on the beach. Loses that go-for-broke mentality which is real issue for a guy who wants to go to Tokyo.

I was trying to watch 4 matches at once but it appeared Ty was getting most of the serves.

Reid's loss hurts for points, they need every international point they can get to climb up ranks. Ouch.

Reid's loss hurts for points, they need every international point they can get to climb up ranks. Ouch. Especially if they want to get into world champs this summer, which I assume they view as a realistic short term goal. But today’s results indicate that Reid/Theo, Chase/Casey, John/Ryan, and Miles/Billy are all pretty even right now. And maybe Tri/Trevor too depending on the rest of the day’s matches.

Actually I think their short term goal would be to make the MD first. Baby steps.

On Sandcast today, they explained that the top 3 teams of the USA can basically get in World Champs with no issues. The rest can get in through the confederation route. They must play at least one NORCECA tour stop, thus all the teams playing on a Wednesday to qualify to play in a NORCECA.

Not sure what her flight schedule was, but Geena was at the Cabo San Lucas Volleyball Vacation last week. Probably not much serious training going on there.
