If she keeps progressing, she could turn into a very nice big. Especially if she can stay on the right side. Maybe someone like K. Cook? they've played together before, same age. She'd be right in her prime for 2024. JB..Do you see Alix & April going another 4 or Alix looking elsewhere after Toyko? Agree w Donny, no way April makes a run. Not sure April plays FIVB after next year, so if Alix is going to keep playing, then yes it will be with someone else. As of now, she'll be the highest FIVB pointed player in the US, she'll have her pick. I'm thinking Brooke and Kerri are going to get that 2nd spot, so maybe Summer/Sara will be done too?

April has talked about starting a family so I suspect she’ll be done internationally after 2020.

Id like to see April continue on the FIvB for a few years, she could definitely Hyden along for a while at her size and with her smarts

I think it’s pretty crazy to say they’ve underperformed expectations after just four pro events, considering Carly is essentially a rookie on the beach. Who do you see Carly going with long term after Britt? If there is anything as long term. www.fivb.com/en/about/news/fast-learner-wopat-advances-from-itapema-qualifier?id=82292The USA women already have a lot of good young blockers with Alix, Summer, Claes, Larsen, Howard, etc. who should still be around for the next quad. It’s going to be hard for Carly to break into that group, but if she does she’ll have plenty of younger defenders to choose from.

Really amazing how good the Flint/Larsen break up was for both ladies in the long term. A reunion at some point could be very interesting. Not sure Howard has much growth left, she is just too slow. Maybe with a late career Holly/Fontana type, but otherwise her speed is hugely limiting. Jen Fopma may be her ceiling

Must be some rule because no two Brazilian teams are in the same pool. Pool A to Pool G each has one Brazilian team.

I'd expect it to be close.

The women’s field is quite deep in this one. The only notable one missing it the Czech team.

The women’s field is quite deep in this one. The only notable one missing it the Czech team. Surprised not to see Sude/Borger since other German teams are there. That’s going to be another competitive fight for two Olympic spots. Also no Australians. I expect most American teams will break pool but after that it’ll be a battle. So much parity on the women’s side.
