So, I'm interested to hear everyone's thoughts as to why Lockin is SOY. Assists per set? Other stats? I don't see how anyone other than McGuyre gets COY. I think it would have to be between Lockin and Gabriel Lockin (conference stats)- 11.28 assists/set 2.98 digs/set 0.76 blocks/set 0.81 kills/set 0.20 aces/set Gabriel (conference stats)- 10.24 assists/set 2.19 digs/set 0.20 blocks/set 0.30 kills/set 0.26 aces/set

Hitting percentage for each team? That's further discussion on that.

But hitting percentage isn’t the biggest factor in determining the better setter for various reasons.

If we're going off stats for SOY, why not do the same for POY? Doesn't White lead Pressley in most of the categories other than KPS/PPS?
It's interesting how Lockin has a higher assists per sets, yet Texas' hitting percentage is significantly higher. Statistics, in general, are weird yet fun at the same time.

Historically, POY seems to go to the most impactful player on the top team in conference. There are a lot of factors that affect hitting percentage (as well as assists/set) that are out of a setter’s control. How many errors are the hitters fault rather than a setter’s. Additionally, Baylor’s offense doesn’t include the middle/OPP quite as much as Texas’ does. Part of that is because Pressley really should be getting the ball as much as she does, but when that happens her hitting percentage is going to reflect into the team’s hitting percentage more.

Curious to see the crowd in Waco this weekend as the football team is playing in Dallas for the Big 12 Championship.

With all the changes with Kansas with their online roster - KU's expected roster for 2020 just got much younger for next year. 7 Freshman, 2 Sophomores, 3 Juniors, and 1 Senior. The expected sophomores took a big hit along with a sizeable hole at OH.
Sara Nielson (SR) - Setter Elise McGhie (FR) - Setter
Riley Fotz (rFR) - OH Karli Schmidt (FR) - OH
Rachel Langs (JR) - MB Gracie Van Driel (SO) - MB Caroline Crawford (FR) - MB Kim Whetstone (FR) - MB Kaiti Parks (FR) - MB
Lacey Angelo (JR) - DS/L Audri Suter (JR) - DS/L Kennedy Farris (SO) - DS/L Molly Schultz (FR) - DS/L

2 seniors graduated and the 6 others just bounced?

It would be fairly easy for someone to make both. Football game is at 12 and volleyball game at 8. Can easily make the trip in two hours even with the congestion getting out of the football game.
I still wouldn't expect a crowd near the 8000 for our match in Waco.

4 seniors graduated (including a redshirt Junior) - 4 others no longer on the roster. No idea for the reason - maybe too many high profile recruits to keep everyone happy after a season with more losses than wins?
