Makua is going to have to be patient and wait his turn. There are just too much talent in front of him. Maybe in two years when Humler graduates, that he will have a chance to step in. I see Chaz stepping into Colton’s role next year. Then the following year, with Humler graduating, a spot will open up but then he is going to have to battle Spyros. Spyros is a big time get. We had to beat out Pepperdine and Long Beach to get him so he is somebody that could be a future star. Wade already noticing Spyros’ talent and could even see PT this season if any of the OHs struggle. Yes I'm aware of the depth and the talent. I'm just simply asking how his development is going. As someone who went to school with Makua and knows him decently, I'm assuming that the dude is developing well. He has such a high work ethic, it'd be bizarre to me if he's regressing.

That's great to hear. Been watching him the past couple seasons as well as listening to his interview on OC16 and definitely picked up on his work ethic. That's why I would just like to see how his development is going.

I’m assuming the kid is more of an OPP than OH. He is big and strong but doesn’t seems to have the quickness you want in an OH. Kid is probably a project with good size and strength. However, with Dimi having ankle surgery, the guy has a chance to play if he can come in next year and step up his game.

I wonder if BYU transfer Kanai Akana is redshirting this season or he is unable to join the team until next season. I believe he left BYU at the start of the academic year but not sure if he is currently enrolled at UH this semester. He has UH MVB on his Instagram so I’m assuming he has returned home.
