Minnesota first-team: Samedy Pittman McGraw (hopefully) I wouldn't count on Pittman being as effective without SSS.

It’s not like Minnesota was running anything so high in difficulty with Pittman that SSS was the reason she was successful. The slide to her was the slowest part of their offense.

I hope fitz finally gets 1st team !! It’s been 2 years in a row in 2nd. I think Lilley can make 1st team with gray and maybe Hilley? I could see Kramer making a case for 1st team as well as Botkin

My wish is that Madison Duello moves up a team, and Molly Haggerty comes back. Agree. Dream scenario, but also not completely off the rails of possible: 1st team - Rettke & Hilley 2nd team - Duello, Hart, Haggerty 3rd team - Clark/Barnes HM - Loberg And yes, I realize I basically pulled a Stanford and made the whole team AA's

Feel comfortable saying Plummer, Rettke, Samedy, Gray, Hentz and Stivrins with stay on the 1st team, barring injury. I could see White, due to being a libero on a young team, and Quade (Without Poulter) dropping off of 1st team. I think Stone, Hilley, and Lilley may be ready to bump up. Lanier, if back healty, and Micaya White returning to 1st Team. I'll also say one, or both, of Jordan Thompson and Allie Barber become 1st teamers. Their numbers could be huge. Barber may have to carry an even bigger load this year. I don't see any of the freshman making 1st team this year. In part due to the circumstances they're entering into. Marquette adds lines from pacific, who I think will take a lot of burden off barber. But I definitely see her making first team still. Top 5 OH in the nation imo. I don't think Barber makes First Team unless she starts playing 6 rotations. When is the last time a 3-rotation OH made First Team AA?

Kendall Kipp. Let the debate continue I’d say if she plays FOTY and 1st team could be very possible. But I don’t think she’d play 6 rotations, so prob won’t happen.

After scanning the list, it looks like Tabi Love from UCLA in 2012 made first team and was a 6'5" 3-rotation outside hitter.

From Washington- Bajema and Powell. If the passing holds up, a middle too.

From Hawai'i, definitely Rassmussen on 1st or 2nd team. I expect a huge season from her. Perhaps Iosia on 3rd or HM if the team is successful and does well this season.

Are you arguing Pittman will be just as effective with a new setter? Just curious. My argument is SSS distributed the ball like no one else. She had speed to many locations, albeit not to Pittman. Slowing of offense generally will affect efficiency. Pittman has a smaller window than other hitters in which she'll be truly successful. I see a drop off for her. Think OHs also hit for less for MN. Could be wrong, but I doubt it.

It's pretty damn hard for players on a non sweet 16 caliber teams playing in a non P5 conference to be on a 1st or 2nd team AA. For context, Van Winden had over 6 points per set and hit .365 on a Cal Poly team that was better than Hawaii last year and she was just honorable mention.....Jordan Thompson had over 7 points per set and hit .333 on a Marquette team that made the 2nd round of the tournament and she was just 3rd team. And I actually think it was a relatively low competition year for All Americans in 2018.

Id say the top candidates for FOTY are kipp and kubik. However, I think it will be more difficult for kipp to find the floor as much as kubik will on Nebraska so I'm leaning towards kubik
