Ricardo is the best choice for Miles of players likely available. Unless Doherty is willing to make a switch - doubtful - Miles' best option is to stick with Billy and go AVP only, which means Piotr or Ricardo most likely. Both are better than Palm, Ricardo is several tiers above and Piotr is at least one. I'll give Santos the nod but put Palm and Piotr about even. Palm being more mentally steady which gives him advantage. Not a huge gap but I have Piotr ahead. Size, points, AVP experience on his side.

Mentally fragile, behind. Points no question are huge though, I just want to see what Miles can do on the AVP. He'll be one of the better defenders immediately for both his international experience and overall size and offensive firepower.

Id hate to see Miles with either guy, both are below what I see as his level. Maybe an injury to Reid or Casey or Hyden will open a door. Math says one of those guys has to go down at some point. That said, Piotr won more NVLs in fewer events with an inferior partner and he outgrew the NVL, not sure Dave ever did. Does Dave live in CA now? Maybe thats an incentive.

Pretty sure he, like Piotr, still lives in Florida.

From what I've heard, Palm is super happy just chillin out in Florida coaching juniors and high school and occasionally winning local tournaments. As much as we would love to all see him in the mix I just don't know how much or if he cares at all

So never having followed the NVL much at all, assuming Palm played defense when he played with Piotr? Can’t see them splitting. How was he as a player defensively?

Miss the NVL, did an outstanding job getting coverage to all their players and definitely had a soulful feel about it. But I do like having all the best players on one tour. Some of those finals between zaunpalm and skykarpiotr were crazy exciting and fun to watch.

Agree on the great coverage and how much fun it was to watch.

Bill Kolinske/Andrew Mallin showing as registered for AVP-NYC. It appears the ban is over and where is Evans?

If this is actuate, someone likely grabbed Miles which is what I expected would happen sooner or later. If they broke up, then why isn't Miles playing and why is Billy with Drew Mallin? He couldnt get someone better? even on short notice? If Billy is really available as a partner this pairing makes no sense. Players like Chase, Zaun etc. would be all over him. Even if he committed to one of them and couldnt start this week he should have been grabbed by a Hagen, Beranek etc. type. Interesting to see how this plays out. You could be right that this is a split, but it makes more sense as Miles taking a week off or with some kind of obligation

I haven't been able to get a response from Beranek as to whether he's playing in NYC. He and Kolinske won an AVP America earlier this year beating Drost/Zaun two straight in the finals.
