Well she did hit 0.600 with 8 kills and 5 blocks in her only showing so far in the VNL. She’s still recovering and getting into best shape but she did have an incredible year in italy the year before. They don’t get as much attention because they aren’t as athletic and don’t have the same ceiling and I agree that Ogbogu and Washington will end up ahead of the them on the depth chart, but the professional success and numbers the Minnesota girls consistently put up make it kind of insulting to insinuate they’re only there due to nepotism. Not trying to add fire to the fuel, but them being the “cover girls” for USA Adidas volleyball is probably also helping. I do think they’re solid , but worth investing in ? Not sure

Well, unless Hugh is married or related to them, there's no nepotism. The Happ sisters have not played at a high level professionally. Sashay away.

Also the fact Washington only got 7 attempts is stupid. Washington played next to Drews today. So, she didn't run slide for 2 rotation like before. I like her but she is not very good at being in the right place for shoot ball when passing is not perfect. Foluke is lock for middle next to setter. I suppose that Karch is having experiment for other middle.

3rd or 4th? Everyone knows she`s 2nd......or even 1st. I'm not sure everyone knows this based on what I'm reading, but the point is that she was good in the three sets I watched. The US has a lot of high level talent at setter. Next week they play at home so we will find out who are the current starting and backup setter......... Unless the vets are skipping the whole VNL and won`t even play at home.

These stats don't include errors or blocks for spikes... Hard to say anyone (other than Washington or Rettke due to their high kill%) had a good/bad attacking match without the P3 report. Also the fact Washington only got 7 attempts is stupid. Hancock got it together. The low percentage of sets to the middle is concerning especially given Hancock is the setter that has utilized the middles the most and couldn't in this match because of the bad passing. Hopefully the passing can get it together this week so we can dominate from the middle and not have to see the outsides struggling.

I would be shocked if Larson and Robinson aren't playing in Nebraska next week.

That's not really true. ^^In the highlight clip above, you can see Washington running the slide and Drews approaching inside. Also, hitting 5 for 7 with some overall pretty awful passing from the US doesn't seem to support the idea she isn't very effective when the passing isn't perfect. I'd have to go back to count, but she terminated on some pretty tough sets from Hancock due to poor passes.
