She would be great to have there but wasn't sure if she would be available since it sounds like her wedding is this weekend. Referring to next week in Nebraska. But, true, wedding events may prohibit.

Washington played next to Drews today. So, she didn't run slide for 2 rotation like before. I like her but she is not very good at being in the right place for shoot ball when passing is not perfect. That's not really true. ^^In the highlight clip above, you can see Washington running the slide and Drews approaching inside. Also, hitting 5 for 7 with some overall pretty awful passing from the US doesn't seem to support the idea she isn't very effective when the passing isn't perfect. I'd have to go back to count, but she terminated on some pretty tough sets from Hancock due to poor passes. You totally misunderstood me. I was trying to explain why she got less ball from Hancock. Rettke played next to setter(2 rotations available to run slide) and Washington played next to opposite (1 rotation is available for slide + some combination plays) Washington hit slide attack most of her volleyball life and some middle quick. When pass is not perfect(reception was off today), setter can set middle for slide or shoot ball. Which was not option so many times for Washington in this game. Cause of she was next to Drews and she is not good at running in front of setter for attacking when pass is not perfect. That's why she only got 7 balls, why Hancock couldn't run more offence with her.

These stats don't include errors or blocks for spikes... Hard to say anyone (other than Washington or Rettke due to their high kill%) had a good/bad attacking match without the P3 report. Also the fact Washington only got 7 attempts is stupid. Y'all love to find anything to complain about when your favorite players aren't played enough or on the court. 🤔 So you're saying we shouldn't have sent more balls to a middle with a 71.4% kill percentage? Maybe you should use evidence/stats a bit more in your reasoning, instead of just throwing out ad hominem arguments. (Side note: I'm a Nebraska fan. If Haleigh is one of my favorites (never said she is btw), she damn well earned it.)

Not trying to add fire to the fuel, but them being the “cover girls” for USA Adidas volleyball is probably also helping. It is possible to be attractive and talented. I also said they were solid players... but okay lol.

Imagine Larson, Hill and Carlini with Rettke/Washington/Drews That’s hot but Carlini can't set the middles /s Is your profile pic the face you make when our setter miss our middles with a set?

Well she did hit 0.600 with 8 kills and 5 blocks in her only showing so far in the VNL. She’s still recovering and getting into best shape but she did have an incredible year in italy the year before. They don’t get as much attention because they aren’t as athletic and don’t have the same ceiling and I agree that Ogbogu and Washington will end up ahead of the them on the depth chart, but the professional success and numbers the Minnesota girls consistently put up make it kind of insulting to insinuate they’re only there due to nepotism. Not trying to add fire to the fuel, but them being the “cover girls” for USA Adidas volleyball is probably also helping. I do think they’re solid , but worth investing in ? Not sure Paige was cut. She's not on the VNL roster. So, "them" must just be referring to Hannah, right? They are separate people.

I never expected that Karch would actually employ this level of substitutions and flexibility in the offensive system during this quad, so I at least give him credit for that. System-wise, they do appear to have given up going warp-speed in medium pass situations, but Karch has made few subs in the last four matches: Foecke to serve against Belgium, Wilhite to serve against Japan, Thompson for Drews against Japan, and Lake to DS for Wilhite against Bulgaria. Considering that the double-sub and a serving sub was a regular part of the rotation in previous years, this number of substitutions so far in 2019 isn't worth any extra credit IMO.
