I'm back! What did I miss? Who served first in G1, USA or Serbia? (And whom?)

Just noticed this, I apologize if this has been talked about, but....whats with the line judges hanging out in the deep middle like they are? They are just calling touches. They have the Hawk-eye system to determine whether the ball is in or out if it's close.

Two ugly plays by USA to give Serbia the lead at 18-15. A reception error by Wilhite and then a freeball sent out of bounds by Wilhite/Hancock.
Drews + Wilhite showing some good firepower, which is encouragin. Hancock struggling. Too many tips on two, some misconnections with the middle and way too many pipe attacks (specifically to Kingdon...)
