KM Shocked the volleyball world in beating Middleton. Not Franklin's or Horlick's fault that they did not have a top 5 team to beat in their section. I believe the seeds 6-8 were clear to all, and the coaches had to sort those three out. Who knew that a KM loss to Franklin 1-2 in consolation at the end of a long day would come back to haunt them. Horlick and KM did not play, but Horlick beat Franklin twice recently 3-0 and 3-1. So Horlick clearly should be seeded higher than Franklin. So where do you put a KM team that had to "next man up" for an injured starting middle. Personally I would have put them 6 th because they beat Middleton and CMH, two top 5 teams. Neither Horlick nor Franklin beat a top 10 team. Of the three, KM has the highest cieling, and of the three would be the last team I would want to play, and I bet the only team that voted them something other than 8th was Kimberly. Maybe the other 6 are hoping KM can knock off Kimberly, and used the loss to Franklin to justify the 8th place seeding.

10Am Germantown vs Franklin Marquette vs Horlick 1pm Kimberly vs KM Waukesha West vs Brookfield East Predictions: GTown in 3 Marquette in 3 West in 3 Kimberly in 3 Marquette in 4 Kimberly in 4 Kimberly in 4 for the gold ball! However, that’s very bland, so... Predictions: (BUT BOLD kind of) Gtown in 3 Marquette in 3 West in 3 Kimberly in 4 Gtown in 4 West in 4 West in 5 for their first gold ball is an individual Waukesha school!!

Do teams have the opportunity to get into the gym today/tonight before the quarterfinals tomorrow? Playing in a college basketball arena is far different than walking into Wisconsin Lutheran College. You've played in the WLC setting (basketball court with walls or entrances behind it on each side) thousands of times in your life. You haven't played with a big open arena very often, if ever.
I would assume that Milwaukee, Madison, and Kenosha area teams are heading up to Green Bay tonight and staying in a hotel. Is the WIAA paying for the team hotel rooms? Do teams that lose tomorrow get hotels for Thursday/Friday still?
What was this like for the FVA, Madison, and Kenosha area teams when the tournament was at Wisconsin Lutheran (or Waukesha West)? I believe the first matches were on Friday right around noon. I'd think they'd leave after school on Thursday and spend the night in a hotel if you're the earliest match. If I were a coach of a team that played in any match other than the earliest match I'd probably want my team to be able to sleep in their own bed Thursday and leave a good 4 hours before my match started on Friday. But I'd also understand the experience of the State Tournament with the opportunity to spend the night as a team at a hotel would be pretty cool too, so wouldn't be opposed if the team wanted to get a hotel, check out the first match, etc.
Could somebody in attendance please take a picture of the arena tomorrow at 10:00 AM so we can show the side by side picture of a crowd for 2 quarterfinals going on at once in Green Bay vs. 1 quarterfinal match at a time at WLC? We already know that the WIAA will Tweet out their total admissions and how it's a new record for State Tournament weekend, and ignore the fact that they added the boys to the girls tournament so the numbers are obviously skewed. Would be interested to see if the total ticket sales from the weekend are greater than what used to be the girl's tournament and the boy's tournament combined. I'd guess a hard no on that one.
Also, are the boys and girls (D1) finals going on at the same time on Saturday?

Was going to make same request re pictures of the crowds for each of the boys sessions.
Finals are all staggered throughout the day on Sat, on one court (I assume) Boys at 5 then girls D1 at 7:30 (so net changes before and after boys champ.
Tickets look to be by session. Boys on thurs are each their own session. Sat looks to be one session for D2 girls, D1 boys and D1 girls.

A big part of attendance will be what the participating schools allow in terms of excusing kids from school. I heard Horlick was releasing and busing kids. Be at school all day or go to Green Bay to watch volleyball. Most kids will leave school. I had also heard a rumor that Marquette will not be excusing kids.
I think a majority of schools will still have the same student attendance. Where the drop will occur will be the "community" who shows up for state. That will be the real factor in judging attendance.

Will there be a livestream somewhere online for the games tomorrow. Would not make sense to move the games to Green Bay where not many people can go and then not live stream all the games especially in an arena where it is easy to do.

Yes, it will be live streamed on WIAA.TV. However, there is a fee to to that. The finals will be broadcasted on television on Fox Sports Wisconsin Plus and Fox Sports Go.

I heard that MUHS will have 200+ I think Brookfield East will have 150 -200 students. I would expect all of Kimberly to be there. I imagine other schools will represent as well.
It will be interesting Friday, BEast has a soccer semifinal at 11:00 and a footbal level 3 game at 7:00, Waukesha West, Franklin, MUHS and Kimberly all have L3 Football at 7:00 as well.
Kettle Moraine should have the largest crowd except for Kimberly, boys play at 1:00, girls play at 4:00.

And I'll take Beast over West in 4. BEast is able to pass the West serve and run their offense often enough to win Kimberly in 3. MUHS in 3 GTown in 4
Beast over Kimberly in 4. Krause will have some tainted nacho cheese at concessions and be a little off GTown over MUHS in 5
BEast over GTown in 5 Hans Stelpflug wins the lottery Friday night and goes into hiding
In the odd event Kimberly is able to get pat BEast, I like them in 4 over GTown.

However, I do know that the girls get some time on the courts for practice before their first games so would assume the boys might be able to sneak a session in? For the finals girls play 4 --> 1 @ 9am, 1130am, 2pm and then 730pm. Boys will play at 5pm

BOLD PREDICTIONS:
Quarterfinals Gtown in 3 MUHS in 3 West in 4 Kettle Moraine in 5
Semi:
Gtown in 4 Kettle Moraine in 4
Finals Kettle Moraine in 5 taking home the gold ball!
This KM team can get the job done when needed. They have the weapons to take down the top teams.

So if they run all finals on the same court, the key question is if the boys' final is one of those epic 5-set matches that sometimes happen at State will they allow the match to play through to the end or will they just stop it at whatever point they're at when it's time for the girls' warm ups to start?😂

The teams were in a GB hotel last night. The parents say that they believe WIAA is paying for 2 nights win or lose today. I was told that team BEast is going to miss 2 days of school regardless of whether they win or loose today. School Schmool. Who needs book learning.
