Imoco 25-22. After trailing the whole set Egonu serves at 17-19 and takes Imoco to 21-20. Egonu is ready to displace Zhu as the #1 player in the world. It started last year with Novara's semi CL win over Vakif and Zhu. Then Novara's CL gold over Imoco. Tokyo will tell the story as Italy does not have the depth of either Serbia or China. Hill with ace, block and kills for a solid set.

Raskie's team of nobodies up 2-1 on Poulter's Chieri squad. The two played club together.

When you see Hill, Chiaka and the rest of Imoco's players surrounded 20 deep in a mob of young girls and fans signing autographs and taking selfies then you realize the community impact that volleyball has on mid-sized Italian cities. Bravo for a formula that works.

Raskie's team of nobodies up 2-1 on Poulter's Chieri squad. The two played club together. I remember watching them on Front Range.... Raskie turned out pretty great

It says something about Raskie that she is one of only three Americans setting in Italy. Maybe she will be a late bloomer and rise to greater heights. Top setters in their mid 30's are out there. Life isn't just about the USNT as Hooker has shown with her recent gold medal in the Chinese league and top scorer in the final match.
Fortunately player value is not measured by just one pair of eyes especially with that pair in the US being unfairly myopic.

Lowe and Washington hammering down for Busto for the 3-0 sweep over Firenze. That is Firenze's 6th consecutive defeat. What were the Dutch thinking when they hired Caprara?! He can't even produce good results with his club team. I mean the team is really young but has tons of talent on it.

Hooker fans come again? Remember she scored fewer points than Hancock at Club Championships and got shaded by brazillians? Let’s me tell u how Chinese leagues stack up against international standards. In the finals where tianjin versus Shanghai, Shanghai has 2 middles at 6 feet. They barely touched anything.

It's still an achievement. She's not being pitted against anyone so why stir up unnecessary drama just to blast a player?
That's just sad.
