Ms. Lauren's setting in Russia is not it tbh. Her moonball sets are cringey. Russians like it high and slow and I dont feel it will do anything good to her groove.

As usual, Hill is a no show in a big match. Hill received only 8 balls, and still struggled offensively 5/19 (26%). Sylla did only a bit better offensively 7/20 (35%), but she received 27 balls. Hill is super inconsistent, and she never plays well under pressure and when it matters. She only does well in regular season games. So....when she does not play well in Tokyo.....there`s no need to blame Karch or anyone else.... as u can see Hill can`t deliver with Conegliano either. So what should Karch do with Hill? Drop her? Put in Foecke? Put in a 4th MB? Put in a 3rd setter? Put in CT? Foecke is doing terrible in Italy, if she can`t even start for a low level team, there`s no way she should be in a Olympic roster. And all the other options on the OH are not any good either. So Hill-Larson-Kelsey-M.B.H are safe and sound in Tokyo. All the middles are weak blockers and not game changers, and if Carlini is going, what`s the point of taking a extra middle if none of them will get be anything sets at all?!!...Unless they need a extra cheerleader. Cuttino just lost her starting spot as well. Things are not looking good.

For Foecke, there was going to be a period of adjustment. She has a great work ethic so hopefully they give her time to improve and get back on the court.

Italian Serie A1 game of the week Imoco Conegliano vs Scandicci ... 11/24/2019.. 8am PST
Scandicci fresh off of their CL upset five setter over Vakif on the road has established itself as the main threat to Imoco dominance. And it is the emergence of two teenagers who are making the difference. Stysiak, the Polish Douff with an upside like Gamova and Pietrini, an athletic Italian in the vein of a younger KYK10.
At OH, Bricio, finally recovering from her shoulder injury just MVP’ed in the Vakif upset combining serve, attack and receive in a potent combination. Pietrini, a solid hitter, must control her receiving yip’s which she is susceptible to. Still L. Bosetti and the Serb Milenkovic are on the bench to sub for defense.
Kim Hill, the #1 defensive OH will need to display all of her excellent floor defense, solid reception, and serving, but as the fourth option on attack needs to only hit in the low 40% range. If Sylla holds her passing her attack is strong and Geerties on the bench can shore up the defense if needed.
At OP Egonu can go nuclear, but Sloetjes and Stysiak combined are solid enough to neutralize. Out-of- system points in long rallies favor Imoco but Egonu can get error prone.
Imoco starts Folie and Robin at MB with Chiaka off the bench. The counter is Stevanovic and Kakolewska, and the young Lubian. Clearly and advantage for Imoco here as the Folie/Woloz connection is at the level of a Pas de Deux.
Imoco has the top Italian NT libero in De Gennaro versus Merlo. Advantage Imoco but the biggest differential is the play of the setter, Woloz, who has already blended Egonu into the mix without over using her. Her added mix of floor defense, blocking and serving makes her world #1. Malinov is still discovering the needs of her attackers.
Imoco’s recent performance in its CL opener was uninspired and went five so a five setter would be no surprise. Imoco is the favorite with its veterans but the two teenagers on the cusp of greatness could just create an upset. I pick Imoco Conegliano in this first round but a loss would not be an upset just the preliminary to a series of battles that will unfold as the season progresses. An Olympic year is like an NBA contract year and the level of effort makes for beautiful volleyball.

Lots of choices for Woloz means a lot of swings one-on-one. 14-8 Imoco as they control the play. Spreading the points around.

Imoco wins set 2, 25-10. Great display of blocking, defense, and serving shut Scandicci out of that one.

Yikes, Imoco scary good. 25-10 in a walk away second set. Can Scandicci recover? Kill, block, Kill, repeat...

Trump needs to import the Imoco defense if he wants to get his wall built.
