What is the most competitive sub regional from top to bottom of the four teams ?? Top to bottom - I would go with Purdue, Marquette, Dayton, and Wright State. Stands to reason since Purdue is the 16 seed. Followed by Texas A&M, Rice, Oklahoma, St. John's.

Looking at the Selection nitty gritty — VCU over Cal is just the worst. It’s worse than High Point. Yep This really makes no sense. Only 4 wins vs Top100.

Where would you rank the Hawaii bracket I had them on the list - then dropped it. It could be the most competitive - certainly the most competitive for the top 3. San Diego and Washington State have such a tough 1st match - then winner is probably pretty darn even with Hawaii even with HCA.

A bit, why wouldn't cal poly go to Stanford, they are closer than ucsb The logistics say sb would travel That’s not how the travel rule works. Cal poly goes to stanford and sb to texas.

There’s probably examples in this bracket just released. Off the top of my head — LMU to Stanford once or twice was an example

bluepenquin why does the committee go out of their way to give PSU an unfairly easy subregional?? There are plenty of drive in options. I just don’t get it.

I mean — if VCU got in — why not South Dakota at that point? VCU had enough juice to jump about 10 spots?
Also — if the committee chair could not get past 0 Top 50 wins — why did High Point get a pass in 2017? The only team in the past 20 years to get in with 0 T50 wins. It was shady — convinced High Point was in to justify LSU

To the committee's credit, South Carolina was not the last team in. They weren't even in the last 4. I never expected to be praising the committee, but here I am. This surprises me. I believe South Carolina had just one T50 win. Green Bay had 3 and a better RPI. I had South Carolina in - but surprised they weren't at least among the last 4 in. South Carolina's best win of the season is a 5 set win against Georgia; South Carolina's worst loss is a 5 set loss to Georgia. That's Carolina's season in a nutshell.

They should put up a graphic soon. Cal not in the tournament. I think this committee was popping some pills last night when they were making decisions because WOAH. Popping pills provided free of charge by Big Ten dealers.

VCU being in is a head-scratcher, but Cal being out is not that big of a snub for me. Not a good enough RPI. Bad finish. Bad non-conference scheduling. Illinois had a bad RPI and lost to Northwestern this weekend Thank you! And Northwestern was outside the top 100 -- thus killing her entire reason for including VCU.

Committee Chair Michelle Durban on the Last 4 in: Illinois: "We felt like the body of work in the Big 10 gave them the nod" VCU: "No losses under 100" Washington State: "Two big wins over Washington" Wright State: "had some good Top 50 wins" "Body of work in the Big Ten"?!?!?! One win over F-ing PURDUE?? Plus a loss to Northwestern. You have to be kidding me. Someone please tell me that they kidnapped the real committee and this charade will be all over soon.
