Taylor just admitted in chat that he only played the tournament in order to potentially throw the finals . . . the level of professionalism in this sport . . .

What a great match. Lucky we got a stream, I wish USA beach did a better job promoting this stuff. It was basically an Avp finals

So this event doesn't give points, but it determines who goes to a later event which does give a lot of points vs easy competition?

It was a terrific day out there... Men's Draw: The less experienced teams competed well in the first round... Both semis were well played... I had to leave after the first set of the finals but it was getting windy (and apparently got worse for the 2nd and 3rd sets)... The level of play was exceptional.. As you can tell from this video (I was sitting right next to this camera...) there was plenty of room on the beach..

I was there starting 9:15.
Taylors v. Mudinger really looked like the momentum swung to the Taylors going into set 3. As somebody posted above it was 10-10, then around at I think 11-12, Sander hit a ripper that might or might not have hit the line 1' from the corner. I couldn't tell as I was seated. Down ref walked over and called it in. Up ref, who had the best view given he is 11' up in the air, thought it was out. Up ref walked to the spot, and didn't change his call. One guy in particular yelled out "why have a down ref if you're not going to follow his call"... then later ":Hey ref, let the down ref go home, he is redundant" Wheels sort of came off after that argument between TaCrabb and the up ref. In the end it was 15-11 or 15-12 Mudinger. Sander didn't have his best play in the last 6-7 points.
The finals was a great match. Went all the way to the end back and forth. Miles had a nice hard curveball serve to Trevor that caused trouble, and at least one ace, probably two. Last point was a hard hit into Theo's block and it landed 6" outside the court near the post. 15-13 Mudinger.
I don't know where I heard 720 points is the minimum Mudinger will pick up at the Norceca Tour Finals, but if that's true, Mudinger just passed Treo for USA2.

The strategy was to eliminate Mudinger in semis, then lose in Finals to Treo so his brother could pick up the easy points in the Dominican NORCECA Tour Finals.

That’s a lot of confidence in themselves trying to go up against the hottest USA men’s team in the last few weeks 😂

Theo looked like he had never played in wind before in that final
