Why wouldn't Brandie count?

Do you guys think Taryn Kloth dating/being engaged and probably not being roommates with Kristin Nuss anymore affects their chemistry? Or is the slow comeback just par of the course?

Maybe, it destroyed Slaes, but it didn’t look like a chemistry issue out there, it looked like an inability to pass a float serve in tough indooresque conditions 🫤

Great QF matchup for Carol/Barbara.
All of these matchups should be good viewing.
I'll take:
Germany to defeat Italy. Brazil to defeat Holland. Brazil to defeat Germany. Canada to defeat Suisse.
Semis:
Germany to defeat Brazil. Brazil to defeat Canada.
Medal matches:
Carol/Barbara to defeat Muller/Tillmann for Gold.
Mel/Brandie to defeat Taina/Victoria for bronze.

How much could Nuss/Kloth improve their game if they took timeouts at more conventional intervals?

gringo just means USAan. Moot point now cuz Brandie is eliminated. Depends on where its used, but Canadians other than Latinas/indigenous people would definitely count. Either way, the whole new coaching, style of play overhaul seems to be having limited effect since they have now lost two events they should have won. Both in two sets. (Maybe the Dutch if they are back in form would be a peer, but otherwise with both US teams and AP/Duda out, no excuse for going out this way). Not sure why Marco is considered such a great coach anyway. His most notable accomplishment is being the coach of the only Kerri Walsh team not to win a gold medal.

Italy vs MUller/Tillmann: 21-10 in the 1st This match makes the GER win over USA2 look even worse for USA2. I realize match results are not transitive, but still... ugh.

Huberli/Brunner really dominated Barbara/Carol in the first semi final. They’re playing great right now and haven’t lost a set in five matches. They’ve won Euro Champs, but never a high level FIVB event. Will this be their first?

Wow, terrible call gives the set to the Dutch 23-21 in the second semi. That was CLEAN.

Prior to 2023, they were the no. 2 in the world and they are on a tear. Would love to see them take this. They also usually come to play early in the year, this would be the third year in a row they win before May

They’re playing really well, and at their best they can beat anyone.
