The rumor is that TJ switches to beach for LA….. imagine a pair of him and Micah Ma’a! If the USA changes their Head Coach , you will see some veterans return. It seems the right time for a change. This would be absolutely silly for TJ to switch to the beach. The money pool is weak and entering his prime he can easily make 3 x $$ in indoor . In my opinion, this Head Coach for Germany, would be an excellent fit for the USA program. His demeanor and decision making aptitude was impressive this summer. I would bring him in for an interview in a heartbeat. John has worked hard and given everything to the program for 3 quads. Time for a change and everyone knows this. This post may catch people off guard because I’ve been a borderline Speraw “Stan” . I’m grateful for his time and dedication in the development of the team and two amazing medals . Hopefully USA VB finds a good one.

I've been pretty happy with Speraw's management minus his commitment to GM.

On one of the last 9x9 podcasts they said they knew who the CEO will be and that it was decided weeks before, and that was a few weeks ago at least. If that is true, it is curious why USAV is taking so long to anounce it. I am a Speraw fan but also agree, if we want to be a progressive and successful program, a change is a good idea.

I mean, I'm convinced that the USAV comms department is being run by a complex machine system operated by squirrels on treadmills and pulleys. We'll likely know by the time they setup the podium in LA.

Just a guess but it usually comes down to compensation, they probably haven't agreed on all the contract terms.

He got ripped into (in public) by the club leadership at ZAKSA last year. Sadly, he may be used to it by now.

He was bad all last year too.
He had a good start against Lviv, but they are bad.
He was abysmal against Resovia, and was pulled after hitting in the negative.
He wasn't awful yesterday, but not good. He was the least efficient pin-hitter by 10% but he got 40 balls sent his way.
Carle's passing was atrocious, and he got replaced by Vicentin. Both of them hit pretty well.

The new Perugia won the Supercoppa last weekend by taking down Trentino 3-2.
Ishikawa had 20 points; Semeniuk had 15.
Gabi had a fantastic game for Trentino! 20 kills (hitting over .400), 1 block, 3 aces. The next highest scorer was Flavio with 12 (6 kills, 6 blocks). Michieletto and Lavia were nonexistent.
Rychlicki went down with an ankle injury during their previous match against Monza, so we'll see how long Gabi starts.
