I also thought Caylen held her own towards the end passing
It wasn’t perfect but it was much better than the first set

Stella did her thing with 10 kills and only committing 2 hitting errors. If she can stay low error and even give Hawaii a few more kills a set then it could be a problem!

Last season was a case of losing matches that Hawaii statistically won. Granted it was just one match, but I have no idea how Hawaii just pulled off that win. This team could have something this year. It was very reminiscent of the 5 set win against Texas to start 1995. Take away that first set and the stats would be much more even!

It seems the past two years, we would kill for two pins that could hit over .200 at the same time! Now if we can have the other 4 hitters not hitting negative, they can win a lot of matches that way.

IMO smu setting needed work If it wasn’t for the new rule, she would of been called for quite a few doubles Her reminds me of a certain LBSU setter… Girl, yes borderline nails.

I’m far from a volleyball expert, and idk what it was but the way she set was just off. Her hand placement looked funny and she always looked like she wasn’t ready for the ball Plus all the mis sets

I'm going to give Hakas a pass this weekend since she just got back from 11 time zones away and hope she's just exhausted and out of sync. She's short with a low contact point so she's never going to be a kill/block machine so my expectations are limited. She can be a high energy type to lift the team.

She was fine in the back row tonight. Her serve-receive seemed pretty good early on when everyone else was struggling.

Caylen was spectacular tonight. I’m not so sure Tommi Stockham should be the favorite for Big West POY. And Leyva is such a smart and poised player. Hawai’i is in good hands with her. Tayli played a good match too. Our smalls were big tonight. Big win for the Bows after a disastrous first set.

It gave PAL.

After set 1.....I was ready to hear wahinefan's words on loop which would have been so FKN irraz! Glad they fought and made it to 5. Here we go! it is already parroting how Leyva will replace Ikenaga. I guess now we know which player it will target all season, as its M.O. goes
