Rice is without its top offensive player for at least a few weeks. Also, one of the starting liberals/DS is out for a bit. Wouldn't have known that. The bro let nothing fall tonight. They adjusted well without those starters. Nia has been the starting libero over the years. However, over the past few weeks Gaby Mansfield took over the role and Nia had moved to DS. But now Gaby is out. But not sure of the reason or for how long. Cindy Tchouangwa apparently has a hernia. Not sure of the severity or what the recovery plan is.

Enjoying watching this conference unfold. Lots of surprises at this point. Middle of the conference is anyone's game at this point. It's really about who brings their A game there. UTSA beating USF was a bit of a surprise.

UTSA beating USF was a bit of a surprise. And any late season injuries. Rice is down two starters. Think they can overcome it to win out, except for maybe the Wichita State match.

If you look at standings on conf page Rice is listed 1st and NT is 8. Conferences typically list their standings based on the order of conference record then overall record win percentage, not based on tiebreaker scenarios. For the AAC, two-way ties are decided by (1) head-to-head results, (2) sets won in the head-to-head results, and many more. In this situation USF beat Rice already so they would be the top seed. For a three-way or more tie, the criteria is similar to a two-way tie but just amongst those teams tied. With three-way or more ties, conferences have different ways of determining but this is how the AAC does it. But I just realized there was a mistake in my bracket, I didn’t see that North Texas/Tulane played twice already. So Tulane and FAU would swap as the 7/8.

vballfreak808 4 teams tied at 6-9 for only 2 spots is pretty wild going into the last match. The tiebreaker would be pretty extensive. I imagine UAB, Memphis, North Texas, and Tulane could ALL lose their final match. If you do H2H against each other, Tulane, UAB, and Memphis would be even and North Texas would be odd-man out from what I see. But what does that mean? Would you re-start the tiebreaker without North Texas involved and look at H2H between Tulane/UAB/Memphis, or would you go to the next step in the tiebreaker and look at H2H *set record* between those three? Because technically when you take North Texas out of the tie-breaker, Memphis would get eliminated. But if they do go to set record, Memphis would get the nod. Very interested.

I believe it would be, use the head-to-head tiebreaker, which eliminates North Texas, then continue to set record amongst the three which then eliminates UAB
