Looking at it now, Wisconsin has a hella tough schedule to usher in a freshman setter and a new system. I think the big names on their schedule ( Louisville, Stanford, Texas) have been in the works for a while with the showcases, and TCU/Baylor is a multi-year deal. And somehow them beating Marquette every year is a rivalry game. Unfortunately for the rest of the world it’s probably a good schedule to prepare Charlie and the team for conference season. Wisconsin v Marquette is the same thing as Nebraska v Creighton

I think Texas could go with either Swindle or Carlson at setter and be just fine. They each have their strengths for sure. I’d like to see Lauenstein at OH2 because of her all-around ability. Wenaas against the big Wisconsin block makes me nervous, though she really looked good in the Semis and Finals when it mattered most. How Wisconsin could be so thin at OH amazes me. Yeah we literally have too many middles and not enough OHs. It’s time to just try Robinson on the outside. Just to try it.

Since my sister asked, and I looked it up… If you are attending the match in person, note that Fiserv Forum has a NO BAGS policy, allowing wallets up to 4”x6”x1”. (Exception for diaper bags and medically necessary supplies, both of which are subject to being x-rayed.)

I wish this game was in the afternoon, I'll be in church until at least 12:30 🥲 Same. These Sunday matches are no bueno. But that’s okay. I’ll be excited to watch it when I get a chance.

I always love your fun facts section and I love this one as well. But eating Texas style barbecue outside of Texas is about like eating Tex-mex. There is zero chance it’s going to be the same. A Texan is better off exploring more local cuisine. The amount of effort it takes to prepare authentic Texas barbecue enters the legendary realm, and there are no short cuts. And like North Carolina with their emphasis on pork and vinegar sauce, or the aforementioned Kansas City with their sweet sauce, each region insists their’s is the best. The region around Austin is particularly famous for its Texas barbecue valhallas. If a Texas fan goes up there and tries to post that the Texas barbecue served in Milwaukee is just as good as what you can find in Llano they’ll probably be denied re-entry.

It'll be interesting to see how Wisco responds, and if they change anything at all. I don't know who to root for, I'm conflicted
