Do we know if these Undefeated teams play each other and if the Defeated teams will play each other later in the season? Wed: Penn State/Pitt Thur: Kansas/Purdue I don't know about the rest of non-conference, but several undefeated teams share conferences with other undefeated teams, and 3 defeated teams are in the SWAC. Yeah, all the Big 10 will play each other - Purdue and PSU is next week wednesday

Defeated: Alcorn State (SWAC) Ark.-Pine Bluff (SWAC) California Baptist (WAC) Hampton (CAA) Marist (MAAC) Navy (Patriot) Northwestern (Big Ten) Texas Southern (SWAC) UMBC (America East) Are we counting non-D1 wins for this? Evansville is 0-9 against D1 competition. Their lone win is over University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras, technically NCAA D2 but it looks like their only match scheduled against NCAA competition was the one against Evansville. For all intents and purposes, Evansville is winless.

What is each winless team's best chance at a win? a couple for each of them: Alcorn State: Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Mississippi Valley State Ark.-Pine Bluff: Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley State California Baptist: Seattle, Abilene Christian Hampton: Norfolk State, Campbell Marist: Siena, Manhattan College Navy: Holy Cross, Lafayette Northwestern: Northern Illinois, Iowa Texas Southern: Alcorn State, Southern UMBC: NJIT, Albany Some of these should be easy - if Northwestern doesn’t steamroll over Northern Illinois, we got problems. I expect Cal Baptist, Marist, Navy, Northwestern, and UMBC all get off this list in the next couple weeks.

Nice only 9 defeated left after 3.5 weeks in. Also, I am an NIU fan, I hope things get going better for them soon, but this is rough for a program that has been pretty successful for quite a long time. I looked up Ray Gooden, and he is now the head coach at North Central, which is good, after his health issues.

Really having a hard time understanding if South Dakota State (Jackrabbits) is finally really good this year, or a paper tiger. Here are their wins with Massey ranking:
248 Georgia State .......3-0 220 Florida A&M ..........3-0 276 Indiana St ............3-1 101 UIC ....................3-0 256 Western Illinois .....3-2 272 Purdue-Fort Wayne 3-1 176 Eastern Illinois ......3-0 253 Bradley ................3-1
upcoming: 139 Idaho St 122 Toledo 243 Belmont
I mean, winning every match is still somewhat impressive, regardless of schedule. Illinois-Chicago seems like their best win so far, with WIU as their worst performance.

Arizona (Pablo #58) - has not played a top 100 team. Best win was their last one @ New Mexico State. Also beat Alabama, but Alabama isn't any good. Should win both matches this week. 1st test of the season doesn't come until the first week in the B12 (@baylor and @tcu). Then BYU and Utah at home and back on the road for Arizona State. That is going to be a tough opening to conference play.
Michigan (#48) - Notre Dame was their best win, followed by Sacramento State at home. Toughest test of the year is on Friday @ North Carolina (who has decided to be good this year), then play @ Duke on Saturday (who hasn't been particularly good). They start off their B1G schedule easy with Michigan State and Rutgers, before tougher matches head their way.
Syracuse (#197) - this isn't a good team, they haven't played a team better than #290 yet. They get maybe the worst team in Le Moyne Thursday before their first real test against Iowa State on Saturday. This team probably wins less than just a handful of games in conference.
Tennessee Tech (#94) - best win against Towson in 5 sets. Could lose to Marshall this week, but they are a clear favorite. They should be favored in all of the matches for the season. 2 games at Eastern Illinois would be their toughest test in the middle of October. They only have 5 matches left against teams inside the top 200 - none against teams inside the top 145.
UConn (#117) - They are now 3-0 in 5 set matches including their improbable win against Colgate (not that Colgate was better, but that Colgate essentially had the match won). They get New Hampshire on Friday that could be a test - but highly doubtful they get past Marquette and Creighton to start the Big East conference play - 1st week and both on the road).
Penn State (#3) - Obviously @ Pittsburg tonight is their toughest challenge. Then it is Purdue to start B1G play. Get past those 2 and they may have a long run as an unbeaten. Not a terribly difficult first half of conference schedule and doesn't play Nebraska until the last match of the season.
Purdue (#9) - Best win was the last one against Kentucky. The @ Utah win is looking much better than at the time. Kansas and Creighton this week are huge challenges. Then get Penn State and Minnesota to start B1G play.
South Dakota State (#78) - Best win was against Illinois-Chicago. Idaho State or Toledo could give them trouble this week, but SDSU will be favored. They have Denver, Omaha, and North Dakota in conference play until they finally become an underdog against South Dakota towards the end of October.
Washington (#31) - They have won both of their 5 set matches (Georgia and Colorado) and only won twice (out of 8) in straight sets. They are probably slight underdog @ Long Beach on Thursday. The B1G conference play doesn't get too bad until @ Wisconsin on Oct 6.
Kansas (#6) - South Carolina or Marquette is their best win thus far. Purdue on Thursday and then Creighton on Saturday will be their toughest tests. If they get past them - the B12 schedule opens up relatively easy and don't face a huge test until they travel to Arizona State in November. Their conference schedule is mostly backloaded.
Stanford (#8) - they have already gotten past Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Texas. Now they play @ Nebraska tonight and then Kentucky this weekend. Conference plays starts off hot with @ Louisville the first week.
Texas A&M (#33) - best win is against New Hampshire at home - and that one went 16-14 in the 5th. They play their first team inside the top 100 this week @ Northern Iowa (who will be favored over TAM) - and if that doesn't get them, they will be @ Wisconsin this weekend. They get Texas to start SEC play.
Pittsburgh (#1) - Penn State tonight will be their toughest test. Get past them - and we are probably talking about the next test being @ Georgia Tech on September 29. A Home and Home against SMU in early October should be fun. Stanford and Louisville in consecutive matches in late October. In terms of win probability - the toughest match on the schedule is @ Louisville the day before Thanksgiving.
San Jose (#53) - San Francisco on Thursday should be reasonably challenging. Real threats don't come until the beginning of October when they travel to Colorado State and Wyoming.

Northwestern swept Northern Illinois last night to move to 1-6 on the season.
Texas Southern beat an NAIA team last night, but I don’t count that.
