As of 10/3 Undefeated: Pittsburgh (ACC) South Dakota St. (Summit League) Washington (Big Ten) Defeated (D1 wins only): Alcorn State (SWAC) has a Non D1 win Hampton (CAA) Marist (MAAC) Navy (Patriot) Update to this: Figstats lists Mississippi Valley as winless against D1 competition. Not sure if we’re counting non-D1 wins on this list, though. |

I would have never thought that Washington would be undefeated still at this point. Good for them. A loss is coming soon, very soon though I believe.

I know this has been said over and over every year since covid, but the parity this year is truly giving me whiplash. I feel strongly in who the top 8 teams are, and most currently ranked teams I feel should be in the top 25, but there’s close to a dozen teams that have strong cases for the 21-25 slots based on schedules and multiple upsets of good teams. So y’all ranking Virginia, or….?

Does Pitt have a chance to be undefeated this season? RPI futures thinks so. Of their next five matches, four of them are against SMU (x2), Louisville, and Stanford, though only one of those is on the road. I'd venture to say at least one of those four is a loss. Plus, they later have Louisville on the road (the most likely loss) and Georgia Tech again, this time at home. FSU and Miami at home, too. If the over/under were 1.5 losses, I'd go over. |
