North American Challenge looks interesting. I'd imagine Long Beach, UCSD, and probably one more local team against the 3 Canadian teams, 3 matches a day over 3 days. Anybody know who the 3rd team could be?

UCLA beat USC 3-1 with main lineup of Thorne Edwards/Zamprogno Robinson Rama David Rowan Curci/Aziz vs USC's Genis Tomkinson/Olsson Klein Foley Deuchar Blanchette Dykstra/Stuard
UCLA beat Masters 3-1 with main lineup of (sets 1-2, Wong-Diallo Graves Decker/Sapp Kelly Curci Taliaferro Chun vs Masters starters) and (sets 3-4, Wong-Diallo Hersh Kelly Clini Russell Taliaferro McDonough vs Masters backups)
A few standouts:
David - I thought he looked good tonight, serving well, hitting hard, seemed to be moving around the court pretty well Rama - Elite hitter, no one can jump with him Kelly - UCLA's B group really struggled to get their offense going (Taliaferro had a rough night in my opinion) and it turned into Kelly hero ball, with decent results. Great serves too. Sapp - On a night where Decker and Russell really struggled to get much going on offense, it was a breath of fresh air to watch Sapp hit, also a much better blocker than Decker or Russell. Feels like he'll be the back-up Opp before too long (other than a Rama move and Kelly coming in at OH)
Quick notes on USC: - pins were really quiet, Deuchar was great at the service line, Dykstra played set 1 and then Stuard played 2-4. Didn't see Wes Smith at all, would love if anyone knows what that's about (could be nothing of course). Though Blanchette looked more comfortable and was locating more consistently than last year.

Watched UCLA reserves beat CSUN 3-2 and UCLA starters beat UCSB 3-0.
Thought the reserves offense looked better today, Decker especially. Libero situation is still completely up for grabs with Aziz/Chun/McDonough all options. Curci unfortunately had an awful day passing at OH and got benched. Obviously one game isn't going to rule him out of the competition but still not great.
Starters bulldozed UCSB for two sets and then grabbed the third at the end. Rama, David, Thorne, Rowan looking really really good. Felt UCLA's floor defense was better today than in the past. Thorne, Rama, Aziz all had huge digs that were missing last year.
Quick notes on other teams: - Saw Wes Smith today so that's all good. Breuning/Guy looked pretty interesting, youthful insurgency at UCSB OH spots. I don't know if Jalen Phillips has any interest in transferring but man he should be playing for a top five team. (((@uclamvb, found your Ido David replacement for next year)))

I know Aziz is great defensively but has he improved from a passing standpoint? Do you think that Aziz is the frontrunner? Who do you think will be playing middle opposite of Thorne?
