Nygaard leaves the darkside and returns to UCLA and becomes a hall of fame coach winning 4 more in a row proving that he was sabotaging USC the last 7 years as a UCLA loyalist.

I wonder if this will lead to any decomittments... With John Speraw's departure, does this open up an opportunity for Nick Vogel to be promoted to Head Coach? If so, I imagine this could provide stability and ensure the recruits stay committed to the program.

The UCLA men's job might be the most desired job in all of men's coaching, and that includes the national team. They are going to pick up a heavy hitter, I doubt it just gets passed down to the next guy in line... no disrespect meant to Nick or Brandon.

That sounds good, but what did they do with the women's team opening? UCLA looks first to hiring alumni, regardless. That didn't work out for the women's team hire, but the same administrator is in charge here. It will be an alum first if possible, and then, if necessary, it will be the the cheapest good option.

Yes, this will be a big hire for them, and they are going to want to get it right. They've only had 2 coaches in program history, they will take their time with this. My guess also, is that I am sure that John was upfront with them that he was going through the process with USAV and UCLA has a short list of people that they are going to target for this job. I don't think that Keller will jump ship from USC to UCLA, he would be a pay cut for sure. One name that comes to mind is John Hawks, he's doing some good things at Loyola, but he was at UCLA with John for a long time, could see him wanting to go back. Other names to consider: Matt Werle Dan Friend (Does he finally look to leave Lewis?) Brad Rostratter (He's done a lot of National Team Stuff) David Hunt (Does he try and get back in the Men's Game, maybe the NT?)
