Smrek was blocked 3 times and hit several balls wide. Not a good night for her hitting negative. Did she just have an off night or did she receive difficult sets?

Didn't see the whole game but I know Charle was up and down when I watched the final set. Maybe a few of those were the down moments? Yeh, Oregon did have a very good block.

Some of Charlie sets were too low or too tight, but Oregon has a great block. Also, they were working on feeding Anna out of system, so her hitting percentage would go down as a part of that.

I missed most of the match last night and only saw short spurts. Ducks fans - what were the highlights/lowlights of our performance? Any changes from the normal lineup?

No excuses when you're 6'9". She simply doesn't see the block well. A RS takes out the trash. She isn't anywhere close to being able to do that consistently.

I second it. Franklin didn't have a particularly great night either. Must be the blocking.

I’m pretty sure Oregon is one of the top blocking teams in the B1G, although I don’t have the actual stats. I thought I heard them mention it last night at the start of the broadcast.

The TV camera work wasn't great last night, but I remember a few times where Sarah was hitting into a triple block. Overall, I would say The Ducks have a strong block and The Badgers weren't very clean in spots. All in all, a smorgasbord.

There has to have been at least one triple-block, because Oregon was credited with 9.5 total blocks.

Sarah was hitting into a triple block almost constantly, until Devin went off for a while.

Block and serve were excellent. The pins were decent offensively; Mimi quite good even if her hitting percentage didn’t reflect it. For the most part we fought hard. Some big mental lapses - had a lead late-ish in Set 1 and collapsed; Set 3 was not good. A few too many missed sets from Cline. Passing not good enough.Floor defense did not match Wisconsin’s dogging.

Maybe hard to notice on TV, but I was hearing a bunch of fans making noise when we were about to serve, and thought it was mildly annoying.
Then in set 2, the sound was coming from the other end of the court, and it was the Oregon bench! I don’t think I’ve ever noticed another teams players ever do that. WTF?!?!

I've seen a couple teams do this to the badgers in the FH, though I can't remember who exactly. Indiana? Baylor?
