... did not expect for this to fill up this fast. Keep in mind that the two past winners Volleyfan and dude get an auto bid. Although dude2112 hasn't posted in awhile. Logan Tom Fan is very dependable the past two ssasons and might be a lock as well. So right now thats 13 for 12 spots. I think we COULD do a 14 or 15 player league, which might be too much given that there are 60 or so D1, D2 teams. We also could do a triple elimination tournament from the start but I have to figure out the math for every scenario when I get home. Also keep in my that with more participants means a slightly smaller lineup.

I still like divisions though, 14 would mean 2, 15 three divisions with 3 and the possibility to cut the bottom team in each division by week 4 or 5.

This is for a 15-team league. Weeks 1-4 (ALL PLAY). Top four advance, last place team in each division gets eliminated. League will combine into one league. Standings will reset after week 4. Weeks 5-16 (12 weeks) double round robin. See below for the benefits of finishing at the top of your division.

After week 4, the bottom three teams in each division will all be eliminated, and each participant's team will be added back into the pool of players. Additionally, the bottom three teams will be relegated to a Challengers League next year (maybe!)
Incentives for finishing at the top of your division.
1). Pick up ONE player from the eliminated team's pool of players without the use of an add/drop. The draft order will be decided on 1). W/L Record 2). H2H 3). Sets won/loss
2). One extra add/drop to (9 or 10)
After the top three has picked, the pickup period will continue from 4th place to 12th place.

The research is pretty easy for me since I follow so many teams 😁 But you're right -- I unfortunately wouldn't have the time to keep up. But I'm rooting for everyone. |
