Number of Participants: Looking at the minimum 10. 12 would be the most ideal and interesting Type of Fantasy League:
1) Divisions A. Champions (5-6) B. Legends (5-6) Unsure how this will work but everyone will still compete for the Fantasy League Title. 2). Two Participants per week There were times when you could have beaten everyone else except the person you lost to that week, so this style will combat that. 3). Two Participants per week Round robin then playoffs Scoring
1). Per set scoring 2). Per match scoring 3). Totals scoring Trades: Yes (only Draft picks and can only be negotiated before the start of the draft) An example of a trade that would be acceptable. 1st Rd (#1 Overall Pick) 4th Rd: (#40 Overall Pick) vs 1 Rd (#8 Overall Pick) 4th Rd (#33 Overall Pick) Add/Drops: Increase to 9 Liberos: Yes or No (My Preference is No) International Rule: Yes Roster Breakdown: TBD Serving subs: The worst! If a player comes in a serving sub, then the first, etc. off of your bench will check in. If I missed anything or want a rule that needs to be added or removed, please post below. More interesting ideas are always welcome!

I am in! I remember having ideas/suggestions that may make it more interesting but I can't remember what those were. I think I might have sent in a post or DM... I will look. Can we hold players year to year like the real teams? Asking for a friend... nothing to do with holding onto Henno  I do remember there was a lot of heartbreak related to obscure coaching decisions to bench some players inconsistently or play them in very limited roles that made it hard to compete. e.g. chaplin/knight at libero or bench an established starter due to injury or something unknown but use him as a serving or blocking sub for one set or even worse, multiple sets in a week. If there was a rule that protected from this it would be nice. Also maybe add something to quantify setters other than only apg, like team hitting %; metric could be apg x team % x 4 so any % above .250 inflates stat and under .250 deflates it A penalty for errors for players so the player that has 2 SA with 12 SE is not the same who has 2 SA with 2 SE. Applies to attacks too. I like per game stats, but count a 5th set as .6 games to balance out and not be a penalty for 5 game matches. I don't like per match stats because whether a match goes 3 or 5 is too much of a dice roll I like the idea of balancing those weeks where you would beat everyone else but the person you faced, I had a few of those for and against me. The undeserved win might have been more fun than the undeserved lose was painful so either way is good with me. I liked the format last year even though at the end it seemed like some got better draws than others due to the format. It was fun for me. All you other suggestions look good to me. Thanks for putting in the work. |

Okay, I figured out the schedule that would work best and be easiest to track. With twelve participants, this works perfectly, and with the conference tournament, there are a total of 16 weeks of play.
Divisions(2) - will be randomized by a trusted source OR the two past winners will pick starting with Volleyfan024 who they want in their division.
Champions League
1. Volleyfan024
2-6 TBA
Legends League (dude2112, if not the 1st RU from last season wilbur)
1. dude2112 (wilbur as alternate)
2-6 TBA
Schedule
Weeks 2/3, 5/6, 8/9, 11/12, 14/15 (Divisional matches - vs two participants per week)
Weeks 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16 (Non-divisional matches - vs two participants per week)
Scoring (likely per set or match), roster breakdown, etc. - TBD - straw poll like last season
