Treat their game against each other as a championship match, since it's the final match for both teams. Will they will boycott round 2? A few teams have already done it twice.

Boise State would look really, really pathetic though, if they didn't forfeit now after having made a huge deal of doing it twice before. Especially since they made a big point of saying they were following guidance from the Governor of Idaho. Utah State was less in-your-face about the whole thing, but a) it's Utah, and b) they did forfeit once before. Also, Utah State did join in the lawsuit demanding an injunction, but Boise State did not. (Boise State players did, but the school did not.)

Another interesting possible twist is that both Utah State and Boise State are leaving the conference anyway after this year after 2025.
I am fairly certain that the former PAC-12 (mainly large research universities in large West Coast cities) would have taken a similar stance as the MWC did this year. But the new PAC is a very different set of schools, more "red state" than "blue state".

Still short-timers one way or another.

"Courageous women student-athletes who are standing up against the Mountain West Conference’s discrimination against women and its failure to protect women from men competing in women’s sports. The Plaintiffs, Brooke Slusser..." LMAO! BFFR. Slusser is playing alongside Fleming. She's setting her up to do these acts they claim to need protection from. This is a joke.

They still have the same problem, which is that they waited until the last minute and then ran to the court begging for an emergency injunction. Courts tend to look unfavorably on people who do that.

Wyoming won TWO matches against Mountain West Tournament teams AND lost to Nevada. Even if you change their two forfeits as wins - they STILL don't make the Mountain West Tournament Is there something I'm missing?

What confuses me is that all of this is coming about NOW. Surely, if they cared so much, Lia Thomas was in all the headlines. Transgender participation in NCAA sports has been occurring. To demand eligibility requirements changed mid-season and go to court over it... is certainly interesting. Did they only care when it involved an athlete they may personally be playing against?

The Brooke Slusser interview also felt very... weird to me. She seemed uncomfortable and they spoke about some of her "responses" without giving word-for-word what she said. Something about her response or maybe her reaction, or maybe it was her choice, to not have part of it aired.
I also thought her safety part of her explanation was more in line with the 80mph swing. It did NOT seem genuine to me. They should have asked if San Jose State had male club players and if they come to practice, and if she feels like that is a safety issue the NCAA needs to address?
I would also have pressed the issue is if Blaire was playing libero, would there be a safety issue claim? Or is it only limited to offensive players for the reason for this "protest"?
