Which P4 programs. I’m not buying it. Ok, don’t buy it. Especially at certain programs, the men’s club teams aren’t even that good. Like I said, the elite D1 men’s level talent is probably told to tone it down. But most men’s club players are not at practice half-ass swinging.

I thought the point to using male practice players was to train your starters to play against a level of play that is at least as hard and fast as the starters on other teams ... as opposed to only being able to have them practice against their own backups.

Yes, but men's volleyball can be weird, since there are so few D1 programs. Many men simply give up the sport or play club even though they could have played on "an actual men's team". Those that give it up *probably* aren't helping out with the women either. (Funding can also be an issue on the men's side)

They may very well choose to forfeit; it will be up to the players and coaches. They will no doubt announce their decision soon after the judges ruling. Decision made. Judge denies motion. Forfeits stay losses and Blaire is eligible to play in MWC tournament Love this!! GO BLAIRE! <3

So, do we all agree Colorado State is taking this MWC championship? The Malaya Jones and Kennedy Stanford combo with Yoshimoto in the back (and her serving) will be hard to beat.

I hope SJSU does well! My friend worked at NIU when Todd Kress was there, so I have been a fan of his teams since then. I have great respect for Colorado State and all they have done over the years. Thus, I hope one of those two squads win!

I also thought her safety part of her explanation was more in line with the 80mph swing. It did NOT seem genuine to me. They should have asked if San Jose State had male club players and if they come to practice, and if she feels like that is a safety issue the NCAA needs to address? No anti-trans media interview is going to mention male practice players. Only male practice players I really see on social media are Nebraska practice players and either they are not D1 mens players or they are being told to take it lightly.

As someone who played men's club volleyball and knew a ton of people who were practice players, as well as one myself, we absolutely were told to go 70%, and would have had our status as practice players in jeopardy if we screwed up. This is pretty standard across the board, P5 and lower divisions, same rule. Even the schools that aren't great at club have some good players, and the club players that get pulled to be practice players are usually the better players on the team, especially those who can exercise control.

Depends on which version of CSU’s serve/pass game shows up. CSU has split with every team in the bracket except Utah State. Fresno State seems to have CSU’s number as of late. Fresno’s serving always seems to give CSU fits

The judge's decision is "Today's Top Story" on the New York Times: California edition.

SJSU and CSU have split their head-to-head matches this season. CSU also has losses to the two teams on their side of the bracket. I fail to see how this could be automatic for them.
