Anything can happen in the NCAA Tournament, and usually does.

Good chance, barring injuries. Then again, last year I thought it was a cinch that Neb & Wisc would meet in the finals. I'd go with Louisville as the top contender to pull off the upset, but I really want Creighton (if it can't be Minnesota).

I remember in 2016, Nebraska v. Minnesota (1 v 2) just seemed inevitable to me for the finals. Both got upset in the Final 4
Last year kinda similar, with Wisconsin surprisingly not making it to the final.
You just never know.

I think Penn State, Louisville, Creighton, Texas, Kansas, Purdue, and SMU are all capable of beating Pitt/Nebraska if the stars align. And that list isn’t even exhaustive - there are other capable teams as well (insert line about parity here lol).
Once teams are in the tournament the slate is essentially wiped clean and anything can happen.
Even with the losses they’re taking now, I would be really scared to play Texas in December. They can become a completely different team in the tournament, especially when hungry for a three-peat, and a lower seed might help them with matchups.
It ain’t over ‘till it’s over.

Without even considering earlier upsets, as it’s looking now, Pitt will have to get through Louisville in the Final Four. I don’t know how anyone could watch the last Pitt-Louisville match in Pittsburgh and be confident of the result of a Final Four matchup in Louisville.

I can only say with confidence that Wisconsin won't be anywhere near The Final. When the reigning NPOY says "we don't have that edge right now" after a Nebraska match, you can bet it's not going to appear any time soon.

This is just like that "will Texas repeat next season" thread that was posted before the Spring 2021 championship was even played. 💀

If Nebraska or Pitt runs into a team on a tear like that, all bets are off.

In my perfect world, Penn State beats Nebraska to avenge their 2017 semi final loss to them. I need something to cure the nightmares from that game.

One of them draws 15 or 16 seed Texas in the Sweet 16 and loses.
