In the sweeps of Virginia and Virginia Tech, Kami Miner set the Cardinal offense to a combined .491 attack percentage, averaging 13.00 assists per set. Outside hitter Elia Rubin led the team with 4.50 kills per set on .533 hitting. Middle blocker Sami Francis hit .727 in the two matches, registering 16 kills on 22 swings with no errors.

Duke preview The Blue Devils dropped a pair of ACC road contests last week, falling to No. 3 Louisville (0-3) and Notre Dame (1-3).

Four of the Duke players have ties to Stanford or the Bay Area.
Millie Muir, the backup setter, is from Stanford, CA. Her father, Bernard Muir, is Stanford's athletic director.
Opposite Kerry Keefe is the daughter of Kristin Klein Keefe and Adam Keefe. Kristin played volleyball for Stanford from 1988 - 91. She is a four-time All-American and still one of the top 6 Stanford players in kills, kills/set, digs, and digs/set. Adam played volleyball and basketball for Stanford from 1988-92. Her sisters, Caitlin and Michaela, were on the Stanford women's volleyball team from 2016 to 2020. Her brother, James, was on the Stanford men's basketball team from 2019-2024. ETA: She played club and high school with Elia Rubin.
ETA: Outside hitter Lauren Ingram's brother is Harrison Ingram, who played two seasons of men's basketball at Stanford before transferring to North Carolina.
Taylor Williams is from Mountain View, CA and went to high school at St Francis.
Kim Oden was a guidance counselor at St. Francis from 2000 - 2015 (and a vb coach there for part of that time). She left for LA before Taylor was a student but it's still interesting. Kim was also an associate coach at Duke many years ago

Following a four-game road swing, Duke volleyball returns home to Cameron Indoor Stadium to host No. 7 Stanford and California this weekend.
The Blue Devils will take on the Cardinal Friday at 6:30 p.m., before a 2 p.m., Sunday contest against the Golden Bears.
Friday's contest will serve as the program's Spike Out Cancer game while the Sunday's matchup will mark the Blue Devils' Senior Day.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
• Stanford's offense features four players that have recorded 200-plus kills on the year in Elia Rubin (324), Ipar Kurt (271), Jordyn Harvey (230) and Sami Francis (203). Nationally, the Cardinal ranks third in hitting percentage (.320), seventh in assists per set (13.31) and ninth in kills per set (14.22). Francis also headlines the defensive unit, leading the team in total blocks (124) and blocks per set (1.49), which ranks third and fourth in the conference, respectively.
