Is there any chance Pitt isn’t overall 1 now ? if she can pull it off: if gt beat Pitt at home then Pitt shouldn’t make the tournament lmfao

Is there any chance Pitt isn’t overall 1 now ? if she can pull it off: Even without a loss to GT, it's still somewhat of a conversation, right? Nebraska still has the better RPI and more quality wins. I think there's at least an argument to be made that their body of work is better despite one more loss.

Is there any chance Pitt isn’t overall 1 now ? I'll defer to trojansc, but after taking a quick look, I'd go: 1 Pitt 2 Nebraska 3 Penn State 4 Louisville I think the fact that Pitt blew out Penn State while Nebraska lost to them gives the edge to the Panthers. Also, Pitt split with SMU while Nebraska got swept.

Trying to test our overreaction theory.

Trying to test our overreaction theory. I remember when Payton Caffrey did that to Kansas! Wichita State was the beneficiary.

Will Nebraska have the better RPI? I'll have to look - but I think Pitt can pass them. Pitt has wins over the two teams that beat Nebraska. SMU beat Pitt and Neb, both matches at home in Dallas. IIRC Pitt got beat 3-2 while RED was broomed. Pitt woman-handled PSU, but it was at home.

Yes, correct and they were woman handled 3-0. But the fact that SMU just a few days later could beat Pitt is a testimony to home court advantage. Anyway, I like Pitt at #1 because using the eye test they look better than RED.

Time for me to advocate for SMU's top 2 wins being more impressive than anything Wisconsin did all season so that I can avoid having to beat Wisconsin three times in one season to get to a final four.
