State College Regional (#4) (1) Penn State vs. Fairfield Yale vs. (8) Florida State* (4) Kentucky vs. Western Michigan Loyola-Chicago vs. (5) BYU* (2) Creighton vs. Florida A&M* Northern Iowa* vs. (7) Missouri (3) Purdue vs. Cleveland State Western Kentucky vs. (6) Miami-FL*
Drive-in, right? 259 miles between UNI and Creighton according to the NCAA mileage calculator. definitely within the 400 mile drive-in range. sending UNI to Creighton would give KBB a chance to watch her daughter Reese (one of UNI's setters in their 6-2) play in an NCAA tournament match, and possibly face each other in the second round. Though UNI and Creighton did already play each other in the non-conference. And I would really hate to have to subscribe to Flo or whatever in order to be able to watch the match(es) if that is still a thing.

UNI (current figstats RPI of 34, only loss outside of the top 25 RPI is to Ohio State, but only top 50 RPI win was over Rice) will be playing Illinois-Chicago (23-9, current figstats RPI of 66) in the MVC tournament championship match. If UIC manages to pull the upset to get the conference AQ, would UNI be in the running for an at-large?

NCAA tournament rights belong to ESPN regardless of a team's conference affiliation/broadcast partner. No Flo Sports will be necessary.

If UIC manages to pull the upset to get the conference AQ, would UNI be in the running for an at-large? Yes. UIC’s RPI would bump up for the UNI win so they’d be close to top 50, not quite. Also UNI has a win over Rice, which is Top 50. Rice DOES have zero top 50 wins though, so it’s possible the committee discredits that win and leaves BOTH out. If UNI loses, it makes it really interesting with UNI/UTEP/Rice being above the cut line with questionable profiles. I like UNI the best of those particular three though because they also have zero sub-100 losses (compared to Hawaii’s 5, for example)

Texas still in that regular season cocoon but not sure the tourney butterfly gets a chance to emerge with Minny 2nd round and then possibly Stanford thereafter.

UNI is still worthy, and a drive to Creighton, Nebraska, or Wisconsin.

Begging the committee to send a good team to TCU, Kansas, or Utah Does Minnesota count as good? Re-match, but at TCU's place instead of Baylor's? Goodish.

Six of Arizona State’s eight best wins are two each over Arizona, BYU, and Utah. Signature victory is home win over Kansas. To this point, what is the big 12s best out of conference win? Kansas over Purdue and Marquette.
