Best Hands - location, touch, deceptive: Taylor Barnes Best Offensive game: top 10 Taylor Barnes (left handed banger) Stop being such a homer Bearwatch. This is a serious question. I will say that she got the prettiest touch on a volleyball I've seen in years. I don't necessarily agree with the rest of the assessement, but I can't fault how smooth the volleyball comes out of her hands. Having seen Barnes play, I wouldn't say she's overall any better than any of the top 4 setters in the Pac-10. I've seen some of the best setters in the Pac-10 and WCC, and Barnes's overall game isn't at that level yet. Personally, I think Sam Carter did a better overall job at this stage in her career (I saw her first two matches at UC Irvine in 2003). Barnes might be a good player, but she's not the second coming of Kanoe Kamana'o.

[/quote] You were not really showing us the setter here, right BC? You just want us to see how beautiful Morgan really is... ;D Thanks for the picture.

She's a Senior this year.
And yes, she should be one of the choices.

Courtney Thompson gets my vote. She has the best combination of athleticism, volleyball IQ, and leadership skills. Her teams win. As a freshman she led an unranked UW to the elite 8, followed by 2 Final Four appearances and National Championship. Has any other current setter had that success?

Yes...As a Freshman, Kehoe set and Stanford won the National Championship.

Moriarity is the AVCA player of the week...granted not everyone is playing yet but she has to be considered somewhere near the top after her weekend.

i think i would have nominated one of her passers.. She barely had to move to set. Her back row was awsome

BiK, Pay attention throughout the season and her career. I think you'll change your mind. (Her first collegiate tournament she made All-tourney team and played poorly for her standards)
