I was not impressed at all with Kitaguchi. Too many bad passes on free balls, even the over head passes were off, and too many balls dropped in front of her. She's not good at all. It was her second appearance on the court ever. Sure it was just Fairfield, but I'm sure nerves and uncertainty were a problem. Why don't we give the girl some time before we completely write her off.

No way Houston is an All-American this year ~ maybe before the end of her career, but she is too raw in every area to be an All-American. While I liken Sarah's game to Kahumoku's, she's a step behind Kahumoku in just about every facet ~ not All-American this year either. ;D Stuffu and I had similar discussion earlier this year. I agree that Houston is not AA candidate yet. Mason resembles Kahumoku, and if she continues tonight's play from here on, she should be all american. ANd If Hawaii wins the title, even MVP. HEHE .. Another, Mr Positive Outlook! ... I love it. If tonight's lineup were to remain for the rest of the season, the best shot of an AA on this squad is probably Kari Gregory. Her blocking numbers are becoming AA numbers, and should only go up during the WAC season. Now it seems her hitting efficiency and velocity is starting to catch up to her blocking. If we're talking potential AA candidates for this year's team, my vote would be Gregory. *EDIT* .. And she put up those kind of numbers against both Florida and UCLA too!

Leahey was saying on the broadcast that we should know more about the status of Kamanao and Hittle by Saturday's match

maybe there goes the answer to my question about why she doesn't get to play much. shoji has to wake her up and then she has to fix her hair.

With tonight's numbers, she's inching towards a 2 blocks per game average, which would probably lead the nation. Maybe Shoji's likening of her to Bown when she first got here as a freshman could come true this season.

Wow. Are they sick? What's the starting lineup going to be? Yay for Cayley, though. And Dave, put Caroline and Kelly in tonight, please. Thanks, in advance. Caroline wasn't even there tonight!

How old is he again? There were also a bunch of players named Lee on the court tonight. I thought Leahy was gonna have an aneurysm keeping track of them... ;D

You said "anymore." Which includes forever. (to Aaronic) Yes... I really meant that Hawaii was never ever EVER going to let the Final Four become a serious goal. Yeah.. uh huh that really was what I was saying. ..riiiight.

StuffU, I agree with you. If she continues to play well, Gregory is the biggest shot at AA.

I actually find that rather interesting since she dug a relatively well during the exhibition with Wisconsin this past spring (considering it was her first match and she saw rather limited playing time). I think Vollydolly is right, she might just be too nervous to play consistently right now. Hopefully time will cure that.

And of course, assuming gregory plays the same from here on she too will be a strong candidate.
