What are the chances the AVCA corrects the obvious over-ranking of UCLA, now that Florida and Hawaii fall/will fall?
Answer? Zero. And that's another reason why the AVCA poll reeks.

And just to elaborate: UCLA is probably the FIFTH best team in the Pac10 and yet they will be ranked #3 this week.
What a joke.

We will see about being 5th best in PAC.....long season ahead, but they are deep, very deep and if any team in the conference can persevere with injuries it is UCLA.....if they stay healthy they are gonna be in the race all the way.....if I remember correctly they beat Washington last year, and USC is gonna be very hard pressed to beat UCLA this year, even one time.....

New Mexico State, although, you claim is untested, has some quality wins over Sac State among others. I agree they should be in the mix, with Michigan. 3. New Mexico St, yes has beaten Sac st., and others, but I'm not really sold (on them or their competition, yet) undefeated is undefeated..same with Mich....but better comp....didn't they beat USD? USD has lost to both Michigan and NMSU as well as Nebraska and Wisc now.

And just to elaborate: UCLA is probably the FIFTH best team in the Pac10 and yet they will be ranked #3 this week. What a joke. After seeing both UCLA and Stanford against Hawai'i, I have come to the conclusion that UCLA is better than Stanford. Stanford may have given Hawai'i a worse beating in the score column but that is only because the Wahine never showed up against the Cardinal. I have seen the 7 top teams in the AVCA poll play this season, and UCLA is the only team that wowed me. Obviously, I disagree with your ridiculous perspectives on UCLA.

Disagree if you want, but UCLA is ranked #3 because they beat Hawaii and Florida -- two teams which, so far, have turned out to be overranked at the time.
The point is: if Florida and Hawaii fall in the rankings (which they have and will), why does that not affect UCLA's ranking? This is a legitimate question and the answer lies in the laziness of the AVCA poll.
Then answer me this: if UCLA is better than Stanford, why was Stanford the better team last year? What changed?
You'll see. UCLA _might_ finish 4th. I think 5th is very possible.

Wisconsin should fall lower than 14.

There is no way besides reptutation that Florida belongs in the top ten. The teams they have beaten like Hawaii have turned out to be just good teams and not great teams. I compare Florida with Wisconsin. Should be ranked in the 14-16 area. I like Tennessee, LSU and Kentucky more than I like Florida. If your are a top ten team you do not lose to a team like Florida State who has lost to quite a few average opponents and who was absolutely crushed by Souther Cal on the South Carolina home floor.

Wow, so now Florida lost to Florida State? With the current lineup Florida has, I'd agree, they aren't a top 10 team. If they get healthy, they are easily a top 10 team. Since they are currently not healthy, I have no problem dropping them from the top 10. But at least get who they lost to, right. They already beat Florida State. As for Kentucky, what exactly have they done that you like them more than Florida? They have beaten exactly 0 ranked teams. Heck, same for Tennessee. LSU, fine, they have earned the right to be ahead of Florida. The rest of your post just makes no sense.

I think Stanford will double dip UCLA. I think just the opposite will be true.
