I say: Nebraska, Penn St., UCLA, and Minnesota. These teams will either host or be in it for the 2007.....at least that's what I think..

They won't let PSU and Minnesota both be in it - they are from the same conference. I thought it was already determined that the teams were Nebraska, Tennessee, Utah, and UCLA? Or am I reading the rest of this thread incorrectly? If anyone isn't in it, it looks to be Tennesee... then i think LSU or maybe Florida should be in.

What does Tennessee have on the volleyball world? Hosting the 1st and 2nd rounds this year and last. Invite to the AVCA Showcase in 07.
What have they done to deserve it? There are many other teams more deserving. Unless, of course, they are to be served up as an appetizer to NE.
I don't want MN in the tourney this year with so many freshman coming in. I would love to see them in the tourney in 2008.

How long is last year''s loss to Tennessee going to bother you?

No more than 5 years!
You have to understand, I grew up a MN sports fan. We still lament the day we were robbed when Cowboys' receiver Drew Pearson pushed off on Nate Wright to score the winning touchdown in the playoffs. We have long memories!

Not so bad, only 31 years now. Still can't watch the play when it is shown on TV.

That's also when whatshisname got hit with the bottle. Some of the MN fans have pretty good arms, too.
Bright side? We've only lost the four Stupor Bowls instead of five.

I hope you Gophers don't care much about football, cause the Gopher football team just blew a 31 point lead to lose to Texas Tech in OT. 38-7 they led with 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and lost 44-41. Wow.

Mason, Mason, he's our man.
If he can't do it...
We'll keep him around for another 5 years.
*cough*

It's a program which is always coming up with innovative ways to lose. That's a good one, but it seems awfully similar to the Michigan loss a couple of years ago. I think Mason's running out of ideas.

Funny thing about the AVCA Showcase (which is like a preseason Final Four) and the NCAA Championships (the real post-season Final Four) is that the matches have pretty much sucked over the years, except for a few matchups. The AVCA Showcase is to be expected because it's early in the season and each team is just learning their system and trying to figure themselves out. The NCAA Final Four is weird though. You'd think all the teams would be prepared for such a late late season match but one team inevitably fails to show up and compete, or the other team plays well above their heads.

I think Mason's running out of ideas. For the posters earlier in the year when they were talking OSU and Iowa football now you know why I got on you. We don't have big time football here in MN (college or pro). I'm a little jealous. Although, if we did have decent teams I would still choose VB over FB.
