about gay lifestyle and marrage..You seem to imply thay gays ..ounce married never abuse themselves or each other...never split and leave their partners or will never divorce.....never cheat on each other..
I think everyone knows better...but maybe you dont want to show the figures for that.
You're (and conservatives in general) keep bringing up the topic of gays.
We're waiting for you to show some numbers rather than spewing hearsay and rhetoric.
They hurt their traditional families..their friends...their church...and their politics ..but whatever...its their happiness that matters.
They do nothing but hurt the feelings of those that can't deal with anyone being different than themselves.
As for it being only their happiness that matters - isn't that exactly what you're complaining about?
If they're happy then the "conservatives" with the wonderful "moral values" can't be happy.
Those "conservatives" love to whine about government interference yet they appear to want nothing more than to control or remove anyone that is different than what they consider to be perfect, right, or just.
I bonds increase with inflation so if it goes to 18% as in the CARTER Presidency I will still be making money.
Then why have you given GWB such glowing praise in the past for keeping interest rates down?
Which he actually hasn't done other than in his first fiscal year in office.
Congress has it ..private ss funding....and now says we cant... WHY?
They're not trying to bring "private funding" to social security, they're trying to give everyone a "private acount". You will still be taxed at the same rate for social security regardless of whether you recieve a private account or not.
The sum of which will cause the government to borrow an estimate $2 trillion just so a small percentage of people can make a bit more money on their social security account while the majority (as with most other investments) will lose money. Again, its the wants of the rich that will outweigh the needs of everyone else and it will be paid for by everyone else rather than the rich.
If they want to create private account for social security make it someone that gets charged to only those that use decide to use the private accounts and DON'T call it a fix to the "social security crisis" because it absolutely is not a fix.
As an aside - did you know that Greenspan designed the current formula for social security back in ~1983?
He just told us that his formula isn't working now and that GWB's private accounts is a good idea (if implemented slowly) yet he won't say what now finds wrong with his old formula or why he thinks GWB's private acounts will do anything to resolve the problems with his old formula.
This is why we shouldnt allow elected leaders any different treatment than the general public..they are so outa touch.
Less than 6% make over 90 K a year....yet the Republicans claim it is what drives their party....
Actually, just under 6.82% made between $100K and $200K for 2003, and another 20.63% made between $75K and $100K (unreported what percentage of those make over $90K) and in the neighborhood of 2% make over $200K.
Still all in all its a relatively low percentage of the overall tax payer base that earn more than $90K.
Gays represent less than ?% ..yet it seems to drive every argument in democratic politic debate..
It certainly seems to drive the conservative side of political debates. They bring the issue up rather a lot and are the ones that want to change the constitution.
Isn't it ironic that not all that long ago those same people wanted to prevent blacks from marrying and prevent mixed marriages.
They scream about gays being abominations but find that being highly intolerant of anyone different than themselves to be perfectly alright.
Does any one see besides the simple construction guy?
Or are we all sheep....(lemmings ) may be smarter and dont get sheared every year..
You're listening to more propaganda - lemmings don't actually follow each other off the sides of mountains.
