Please grow up a little. All you ever do is stir the pot and talk crap about people. I may ruffle a few feathers from time to time, but I say my peace and move on. You seem to lack the ability to just let things go. You're the only one here who's had a persistent problem with me. So b'bye. I really detest blocking people, but when they only provide aggravation there's no reason not to. Hey, bonus for you -- I'll never chide you for saying "PSUIVA" ever again. So go be a disrespectful jerk in peace. You are one of those who is too busy talking to notice what others are saying. You call one guy a "complete dick" for pointing out that Caldwell played more than one college season at setter. Lord knows the many names you've called me, with "jerk" being the latest. You've called others names like "douche" and "idiot" when they've disagreed with you. It's your prerogative to call people names and disregard their opinions, but you have to expect the kind of replies you've gotten from many posters, me included. If you had actually read at least ten percent of my VT posts, then you'd notice much of my wording is a combination of admiration for various coaches and players and some tongue-in-cheek comments. I think the fault here lies with you looking for a fight, although you'd need to do an honest self-assessment to realize that. I see you "snipped" what I wrote in your quote, which means you must realize that you were calling people names and you noted that I was not doing such a thing. I was simply pointing out that your response to Bruins was harsh (he did nothing to warrant you calling him a "complete dick") and you were factually wrong. I'm not sure why you're bringing up something about a east coast college volleyball conference in responce to a UCLA setter on the US national team, but perhaps it is you that needs to take your advice and let things go. It's just a message board and nothing is personal. We all have opinions. You seem to have one on everything, so you have to accept that there will be arguments. There are a few people I argue with regularly here, and the truth of the matter is that I love their replies and the banter. I have a great deal of respect for them. I'm perfectly fine being blocked by you, because honestly, I don't respect some of your posts on the games I actually saw live. You clearly weren't there, didn't see the subtle things, but still come in guns a-blazin' about what went down. Have a great time at VT and if you opt to respond to any of my posts in the future, great. if not, life marches on. Go in peace.

Oh well, Brazil was just too good. It's a very tall task to play the top 2 teams in the world in 2 days. But, I'm still proud of Team Canada! Now, I'm looking forward to the Norceca Men's Volleyball Championship in Langley BC. www.langleyeventscentre.com/continentalvolleyball

Yeah, the clock struck midnight today. It's a bit of a shame that officiating played a role in how that great second set ended (calling a lift on the first hit when the set is tied in extras? Are you kidding me?), but that didn't decide the match. Brazil were the better team tonight.
I think it's pretty plain to see that Canada are better off with Dustin Schneider on the floor. Size be damned, Josh Howatson made a lot of mistakes that I really don't think Schneider would have had he been able to go. And let's not forget that Gavin Schmitt was still at something like 80% as well. Get those two dudes healthy and good things will follow. Might be pie in the sky time, and it's definitely cart before the horse time, but I'm dreaming dreams of Canada volleyball at Rio 2016. That would just be amazing.

Argentina/Italy coming up in a little over an hour. Should be an easy win for the Italians, but who really knows anymore? Easy enough. Italy win 3-1, and it sets up tomorrow's semifinals matchups: Italy vs. Russia (first match tomorrow) Brazil vs. Bulgaria I'm a little disappointed that there's no fifth place classification match, but since Canada are fifth anyway, it's easy to get over

it makes me sick to my stomach that the us could still be in the hunt and we could have been excited for team usa had it not been for some stupid setter experiment. Why does it upset you that much? There will be other events, and part of the build for a unit as inexperienced (together, at least) as the current American formation is trying to see what works. Here's today's reports, for those interested: www.thenetsetblog.com/2013/july/fivb-world-league-championship-round-day-three.html

Dang, no link to Sunderland's commentary. Pancani & Lucky are more entertaining anyway. Especially when Italy is greeting beaten!
