I’ve talked to some contacts who have access to college coaches and they tell me MANY college coaches think Harper Murray is the best player in the whole 2023 class. I couldn’t believe it, how could that be? I must have seen Murray at her absolute worst then. If they tell me Murray’s the best then she IS the best. All opinions of course, I tack that on because some idiot will try to challenge me. Again, just opinions! The younger the player, the less coaches care about actual in-game performance. They put more weight in physical projection and coachability. Murray 6' and projects to be 6'2" based on her parents and her older sister, yet she moves and jumps like an elite sub-6' player. In Nebraska's case, they've already made their camp evaluation on her. She was at the same dream team camp as the 2021 commmits the summer after 7th grade (when Cook offered her) and again last year the summer after 8th grade. She actually took some of the pics floating around of Nebraska's 2021 recruits at that last camp. She's friends with all of them. At this point, I'd be surprised if she doesn't end up a Husker and fans should be very happy about that. If she could grow a few inches that would great for her... she does lots well. She will be a Nebraska recruit. Excited to see her develop over the next few years. Who looks real good for Nebraska is Bekka Allick. Elite middle in that 22 class

Kristin Carpenter was ranked #8 coming out of high school. Wasnt she recruited as a setter? Or was the plan for her to always play Libero/DS? I think she set more out of necessity.

Hey Nebraska insiders, awhile back there was talk about a new building on campus for Nebraska volleyball only. The timeframe was around 2025 or so. Is it a fantasy or for real possibility in the future? Inquiring minds are wanting to know.

Elite middle in that 22 class I'm not concerned about it either way. Height is great, but it's really more about standing reach and then consistent jump touch (whether attacking or blocking). People don't talk about wingspan enough when it's more critical than height when we're talking the difference between a couple of inches. The difference between 5'9" and 6'2" is big since the latter will usually have the higher standing reach and jump touch, but 6' vs. 6'2", it's highly variable. It's one of the reasons that Jazz is a formidable blocker even though she isn't doesn't have a great vertical. Yes, she's 6'3", but she has a 6'7" wingspan with great standing reach.

Would be difficult to not rate Nya Bunton anything less than the topic recruit in this class right now. She is a pretty phenomenal MB. She does all things well right now. So impressed. Wondering how her teammate libero ...little Maloney ... fits in the mix. Talented kids

I read that sentence several times and never could make sense of the odd phrasing mixture of "they", "people" and "you".
