Andi is a freak show. Grown 1.5" since she committed and touches 10'9" now. Most impressive thing about her is her agility though, such quick feet and gets up so quickly. And she unloads on the ball. Unbelievable improvement in the last 2 1/2 years. Thanks for pointing her out at last year's Dream Team Camp so that I could start following her. Such a wild card. Whitney 2.0

That's nice and scary at the same time. Andi Jackson was originally listed as a middle blocker as a recruit. Is she more likely to be a MB, OH or OPP at NE?

Nonbiased opinions please, but what is the appeal with living in Nebraska for four years? Well, they kinda expect the Husker players to live in the state. So there's that. Oh yeah... Nebraska is kinda good at VB. That might be a factor. Everyone has different things that blow their hair back.

This seems like an asinine question. Everyone has to live somewhere, nowhere is perfect, and we all value different things. Sure, I guess, but this doesn't answer my question. I doubt their is much about the state itself that’s a huge country wide draw, but if you really think about it, college athletes and students in general are pretty insulated and live their lives amongst each other so there’s probably not a ton of actual interaction with the community outside of the college. So unless the weather is super off putting, having an extremely attractive volleyball program/facilities, which Nebraska has invested in, is going to be a big factor in swaying recruits. Obv all these things go away/change when you are not a student/athlete, then it’s about anything really.

Nonbiased opinions please, but what is the appeal with living in Nebraska for four years? Volleyball players come to NE to play volleyball with a perennial Top 5 program, to play with other top notch players, to play before 8000 fans at every home game and good crowds away too, to play for the best college coaching staff (IMO), and the best training and playing facilites in college WVB (again IMO). Opportunity for annual winter trips to CA and HI playing beach, and the best NIL opportunities in WVB helps too. Did I miss anything?

Sure, I guess, but this doesn't answer my question. I certainly don't need to defend Nebraska (I don't live there, nor do I want to) but your question largely depends on your audience. Appeal for whom? a child? a single person? a college student who isn't an athlete? a person of color? a family? these could all elicit different responses. If it's for high level D1 volleyball college athletes, I'd say, well, why does it matter? These players spend August - December 90% of time either in class, training, sleeping, studying, traveling, or playing matches....and nowadays another 5% is devoted to curating social media posts to flood to the masses. All of that can be done at almost any college campus in the country and location makes little difference. Then factor in that many indoor players also play beach and its rinse and repeat for March - May. June and July most of these players aren't on campus much (back home, traveling, other playing opportunities, whatever). Like many university locations, Lincoln is a big college town...lots of likeminded people that are centered and focus on the same things everyone else is. Also, I'd wager that in Lincoln, the boys are just as cute and the booze doesn't taste any different. Seriously??? You must not have a boring life…
