Tvrdy (24 Oregon) and Wardlow (25 Wisconsin) were quality MB recruits that just didn't fit the what Nebraska needed when their recruiting cycle opened. In most cases, they'd be a Husker but Bekka and Maggie in 2022, Andi in 2023, and at the time Ames in 2024. Hindsight is 20/20 but a 5th middle didn't seem additive unless it was Taylor Harvey level upside.
Most other years there would have been a way to make it work because Cook HATES losing in state players they're on.

This all makes sense, jwvolley, but it does seem that the in-state talent for front row players has diminished somewhat. I mean where are the next Larsons or Rolfzens? Really, from a state with a population of <2 million? Nebraska's overall population is low, but volleyball is really popular there. They have more junior girls playing volleyball seriously than more populous areas of the country (f.ex., probably more than the entire New England/Tri-State Area's 40 mm people)

The comparison was a Texas fan trying to make note of Nebraska not taking as many in-state recruits when volleyball participation in texas is huge, much like Texas overall is huge.

With it only being 6 weeks away, in addition to the middles being mentioned, the pool of 2026 candidates includes: Henley Anderson, 6'2 outside hitter from Texas Ayanna Watson, 6'3 outside hitter from Las Vegas Halle Thompson, 6'0 outside hitter from Texas Gabriella Divita, 6'2 outside hitter from Michigan (Legacy) I know she’s a 2027, but is Malorie Boesiger a possible future recruit or is she too small?

Oh nice get, congratulations. Given the timing, I assume she's a walk on - which is kinda crazy, a NTDP walk-on

Oh nice get, congratulations. Given the timing, I assume she's a walk on - which is kinda crazy, a NTDP walk-on She was a decommit from Northwestern, so that's the reason for the timing. As someone with the grades for Northwestern, I would imagine she could easily get an academic scholarship for Nebraska

I almost thought that was Teraya And a Northwestern commit. The Northwestern decommitments are adding up !!! Do you think their new coach pulled scholarships from verbals?
