2027 S Marissa Jones - A5 MB Reagan Wallraff - NE Premier MB/OH Keilani Ledaja-Brewer - CHAVC 2028 S Josalyn Samuels - Kairos 2029 OH Julia Masselink - Kairos S/OH Ellie Enger - Winter Park For her age, Samuels is impressive… and I don’t impress easily. So is Masselink. Go to attacker, but also has pretty good backrow skills with her height. More impressed too when you realize she's playing up and you know she'll only get better. |

I feel badly for the 99%of the young women who travel hundreds of miles, pay the crazy expenses, to attend a scrimmage day in Lincoln, Nebraska, because Jaylen sent them a glorious letter about the “dream team camp”. After spending thousands and thousands in club ball, now these players are convinced to blow more money with the idea they will all play for John Cook.

For her age, Samuels is impressive… and I don’t impress easily. So is Masselink. Go to attacker, but also has pretty good backrow skills with her height. More impressed too when you realize she's playing up and you know she'll only get better. She must play with the 14’s, I haven’t seen her as I almost never watch 14’s except for the occasional nationals championship matches. |

I’m curious to see which of the 2027 setters they prioritize. Jones is a tall physical setter in the mold of Flynn. (Her setter dumps remind me of Swindle, pretty obvious but they still fall). Deboer from MN locates the ball so well to her hitters and is very fluid in her movement around the court. Boesiger is the instate player who has the familial connection and the talent to be the pick as well.
Similar to Harris and Flynn the past two cycles, I think it’s likely that whoever Nebraska wants will start the setter dominoes next summer.
