Back to the point...since we're winding down here with just a few weeks left, who else can we crank up the heat with as avid fans?

Obviously, Yelin is a Soviet spy sent to destroy America by ruining respectable girl's volleyball programs in Upstate NY. Isn't that an upcoming plot line on the Americans? It's the plot for Team America 2. You won't believe the puppet volleyball scene.

George Mason was discussed last year and she held on. New AD who has high aspirations. Any chance he gets rid of Pat even though she has been a staple for 30 years?

Can assistant AD Rita Crockett fire herself as the coach at FIU? She was one of the greatest players of all time, but as a coach....

Miss st? Seems like a hot seat but when will the administration guy say forget it. No matter who they hire that program isn't going to make a drastic change.

Yeah, the Mississippi State seat doesn't get much higher than body temperature. Maybe it varies a little, like the temperature of a compost pile. Should be up at the warm end now.

You are lying, volleytology. Why are you lying about Syracuse's long history of respectable volleyball just to defend its current coach? He's failing. And you're lying. Are you an enemy of Syracuse? Is Yelin paying you? Syracuse never has been a top-level program, but it certainly was healthy and stable before Yelin showed up. Record before Yelin: 781-515 (conference 179-158) Record with Yelin: 36-49 (conference 16-30) 2007 RPI: 82 2008 RPI: 121 2009 RPI: 90 2010 RPI: 112 2011 RPI: 112 Yelin 2012 RPI: 195 Yelin 2013 RPI: 167 Yelin 2014 RPI: 201 You sounds very personal in your posts! I don't think Leonid should be questioning at this point. He brought tons of talent already and more are coming! His front line next year looks scary and with few freshmen turning sophomores this will be a much more balanced team. He is probably underperforming by his own standards, but I am pretty sure he is more then capable of turning this program into NCAA tournament team.

Charlie Weis Brady Hoke CJ Werneke - I hear he got a yellow card. OOOOOH! CJ will stay till his contract runs out. They have so many other problems that he is more safe then not! He got already 7 wins (not sure if he will get any more with his schedule). But even more important he got a very good freshmen OH in Meme Fletcher. She is the best player he recruited probably for last 4-5 years. Did HE recruit her, or did the B1G recruit her? Joining the B1G conference was naturally going to attract better players in stature alone. Would she be there without the conference switch? Can that even be answered? I agree with contract comment. It saves the department money, they don't care about the sport and never have, and with all the advantages at Fairfield, he couldn't close the deal, no reason to believe he will now. Hell, Marist has NOTHING and look what Hanna has done there! 20 wins at Marist is monumental compared to 20 wins at Fairfield. You should win 20 at Fairfield and the MAAC! It's the people who make something out of nothing that deserve positions, not the big name press release hire. It also helps that coaches are given TIME to develop a program. I think Rutgers has been MORE than patient! If they care that is.

The DePaul seat is getting toasty hot. No good excuse for that team to be failing for so long, and now getting worse. Nice neighborhood and good school to recruit to. How long will Yelin hold his Syracuse job? Will mediocre results satisfy the AD? Yelin? Ludicrous. Hasn't been long enough, he is proven winner. Just give it time. DePaul, another story. Never been good, however the turnover and lack of any tangible improvement certainly speaks to something.

I would be more impressed if Quinnipiac or St. Peter's will be above .500.

Any guess on the number of D1 Head Coach openings in Ohio this offseason? I'd set the Over/Under at 3.5

I have been told that Dunbar is in no danger. More B1G wins this year than last three years or so combined, department loves her.
It's nice to have Maryland and Rutgers in the league now.
