I can't remember a final that had this many OLD people in it. Is the retirement home coming to watch? Both team are going to move to florida after this match is over. If they make it to the end. Go BYU

Your observations are NOT lost of some of us who still believe that a significant part of this whole sport is to take YOUNG MEN and make them into OLDER AND BETTER VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS! The setter for Lewis is 27 YEARS OLD. For those of you who don't believe it, he got in before the age rules were implemented. BYU has some of the same type age old players. Not what I would call a level playing field, unless of course you make it a significant part of your program's strategy to recruit the older, much more internationally experienced players, instead of the home grown type products. Theocaridis is another example of someone who is 4 to 5 years older than many of his competitors. Oh well....it's the way it is!!

Just finished watching the 2 very entertaining semi-finals. Good job by all 4 schools. Should be a very athletic final.
Forget about the age issue. The real winner tomorrow may be...............Brazil.

This is no differeent than last years Hawaii team with the Rogaine promoting animal middle Milosovich and the Delta baggage handling Libro who were both 25.
God I wish I was 24 when I played OH.....maybe I would have won 4 All Americans instead of 2. Age and experience are a HUGE factor !
Regardless I am looking foward to an awesome final.

It's funny how nobody can ever get Dejan Miladinovic's name right. It's just funny to see all the different versions people come up with.
Don't put down Vernon either because he was one if not the best libero I've ever seen play the game.
They are part of the big reason Hawai`i won the championship last year.

Hey Guest my friend, it's one thing to have a 17 year old college freshman playing against a 21 year old college senior, IT'S ENTIRELY ANOTHER THING TO HAVE A 17 YEAR OLD COLLEGE FRESHMAN PLAYING AGAINST A 24 OR 25 YEAR OLD SENIOR. You think you get it now???

So what's the point with over-age players? 7 to 8 years from now, American players who are 17-20 years old are still no match to a foreign vball player who are in the same age group. Don't rely on the "cheating" excuse but admit the fact that the state of volleyball in the US (boys and men) is behind that of the world. Instead, go complain to USA volleyball.

Beach fans always have excusses why other teams are better, and isnt Costas only 23? Why does everyone think hes 30 or something? I think this was brought up during that UCLA article. It isnt his fault hes that good!

You think you get it now??? And Costas is 24 years old now? When did it become November? Interesting findings I found on Long Beach State's players... #3 Phillip White birthdate December 16, 1980 Jr. That means he will be 24 his Sr. year according to YOUR standard since Costas will make 24 in Nov. and you already consider him 24 when it is STILL May. #5 Tyler Hildebrand birthdate February 28, 1984 Fr. This isn't a 17 year old college Freshman, he is 19! #16 Matt Meine birthdate October 27, 1981 Soph. That means he will be 24 when he is a Sr. which means, he'll be playing against the 17 year old freshmen you claim there are, which is 7 years difference. Better whine about your players and coaching staff as well. They don't follow your guidelines either.

Just finished watching the Lewis-Pepp game on tape. Great game!
Great celebration by Deuser when he hugged and hanged on Barretto arms and then Martins!
