The Grand Prix thread regarding today's game (July 12 vs Serbia) inspired me to start this thread. volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/59265/2015-world-grand-prix-2nd?page=16Some things are solidified, but others are wide open. As it stands today, what do you think is the 12-man roster for Rio? (note: Due to the injury and unknown with Glass, I am excluding her from this initial roster. This may change should she at a later date be declared healthy and available.) If we left for Rio today, July 12, how accurate would this roster be? OH: Larson-Burbach, Hill, Robinson, Vansant M: Dietzen, Akinradewo, Dixon OPP: Lowe, Fawcett S: Kreklow, Thompson L: Banworth |

I would like to take Murphy and Lowe, I prefer them over Fawcett. |

S - Micha Hancock, Lauren Carlini
MB - Foluke Akinradewo, Tori Dixon, Chiaka Ogbogu
OH - Kimberly Hill, Krista Vansant, Haley Eckerman, Taylor Simpson
OPP - Karsta Lowe, Jennifer Hamson (in case she doesn't make it to the USA basketball national team)

Kind of random but does anyone think Ogbogu has a future with the national team? I was impressed with her at texas last year and i think she could potentially develop into a national team player one day. She would definitely have to learn to attack behind the setter though. And im not talking about rio for her, i know thats completely out of the cards.

What ever happened with Natalie hagglund? I would have thought she would have been playing just like Shoji is for boys. Both were clearly the best coming out of college

Murphy > Fawcett Davis (second libero) > Vansant From THAT roster, if Banwarth got hurt I'm pretty sure Robinson would slide into the libero spot. I haven't seen a whole lot of Davis this year. Has she played in any relevant international matches? No, but Karch knows what she can do in the same way that he knows what, Larson, Akinradewo, Dietzen, Murphy and Glass can do. Right now its about seeing what else we got in a no pressure situation since we've qualified for the WGP final. |

Y'all crazy thinking Vansant can handle receive, although she won't be as bad as Easy. As expected Hill will be a bit of liability too.
Womens game is pathetic if we win Gold in Rio with our B team, which we all know Karch is sending.
