Are you being serious? Hudson from Long Beach would get called for Lifts every damn time in international play and she's not that good. then why was she the big west player of the year? Because LBSU won the conference. Hinger, Chisom, and Magill were the best players. and LOL at you thinking she's even remotely good enough to start for the national team, and the olympics. She lifts more than a body builder on steroids.

some posters and posts are just not worth my time. You were the one who actually thinks HUDSON, belongs on our national team. Carlini is a no brainier, but I can name lots of setters who are better than her. She's good, but not all american good and no where near national team good.

I think Molly Kreklow has played well. Not perfect. But pretty impressive given her lack of experience. She needs to work on her defense but her ball location is good. She also has a good serve. Remember when Glass first played for Team USA? She had lots of growing pains at first. And while Glass is deservedly the #1 when healthy she's far from the complete package either. She still can't set the middle effectively on a consistent basis (esp Foluke for some reason). This is a skill that Molly does well (when she gets the passes).

Molly had a couple of bad matches but for a debutante setter has played really well, IMO. She had a very good leg this weekend, despite some issues in the last 3 sets of yesterday's match. How well she has served could also be an important factor if she is fighting for a 2nd/"dub sub" setter position behind Glass.
If Glass does come into Rio with limited reps, I think that may change the calculus behind choosing the second-best setter or the best 3-back row rotations per set setter. Even though I prefer the former, I have to say I do think Thompson/Fawcett off the bench is a nice spark plug for the team.
Our "A team" is very talented, but doesn't have a lot of big-time energy players (which is also why I think Robinson needs to be on the roster in some role. Gibby could also help here.)

I think if Robinson makes the roster, Thompson's energy off the bench might not be as important. Having too many fiery players can be detrimental sometimes

Ankle? Or maybe I'm imagining things. Ankle/back. Yuck. Backs are horrible to rehab.
