Happy to see the Dog and Pony show (Fendi and Sweat) move on after defeating a tough Brazilian team.Glad to see them clicking after a slow start. Great win for them and they should gain some ground on Jen/Emily this week. Love all that teams nicknames

Where's the easiest link to follow the match results? I'm seeming to have a hard time finding it on the FIVB website?

How about Adrian/Ranghieri handling Gibb/Patterson 21-17 and 21-12? Thats my biggest objection to the way the FIVB runs things. Gibb/Patterson get embarrassed by two average teams. In any reasonable format they would be heading home. Instead they move on to the playoffs as does virtually everybody else. Evandro and Pedro play almost as badly losing to two 20 and below seeded teams, good enough to make the playoffs. Meanwhile Emmanuel beats the 2 and 15 seed and ends up in exactly the same place. True, but it does allow teams to have a slow start and still finish well. More than likely the FIVB just wants more teams/countries to advance for the fan's.

They are ranked 14th and their last 10 finishes were: 3, 33, 4, 25, 9, 9, (All Opens from here) 5, 5, 1, 5 The last four results make them seem like a stronger team but those are opens and they didnt really beat anyone good in those. Those results are about what you would expect from a good average team. Like the Mexicans, or maybe the second Latvian team. Take a look at their finishes after that 3rd last year. From there, their record against top teams is very poor and they usually lose when they face one

I agree their finishes are inconsistent. They have some very good and some bad finishes so it seems like they just need some consistency. Last year was Adrian's first on the FIVB and he has a unique style that may prove successful internationally.

I think its more likely though that other teams have had a chance to go to town on Adrian's style by watching video etc. Adrian has great skills but at the end of the day he is six feet tall with average athletic ability. A player like Nick for example is around the same height but just a vastly superior athlete. Plus Ranghieri seems like a hard partner to hold onto. Im interested to see how it plays out and I personally would love to see three guys I played Toyota tournaments against make the Olympics.

Carambula/Ranghieri have taken Phil & Nick to 3 in the 3 matches they've gone head to head. Should be good.

US ladies came to play. Close loss for Fendi-Sweat and WalRoss throttled the Brazilians. Only one Brazilian women's team left

I feel like after the Olympics the USA will be getting its men's beach players off the streets. Other than Tri their is very little younger talent ready to compete on the FIVB.

Anyone know if semis and finals will be on Youtube again? Good chance both US teams will be in finals (knock on wood)
