Is this not available in US? It's saying it's not when I click the semi-final links?

Is this not available in US? It's saying it's not when I click the semi-final links? Usually isnt. Kerri and April have a walk to win it. If they do they can more or less lock up qualification.

With rally scoring and improved play by every other country on the FIVB, there are no certainties in beach volleyball anymore.

With rally scoring and improved play by every other country on the FIVB, there are no certainties in beach volleyball anymore. The 23rd ranked team is a certainty if you come to play. Nick and Phil did not and paid the price. I get that it was raining, but it leads to renewed questions about this team's ability to play its best when things get tough.

Does anyone know why Pavan/Bansley forfeited? There was a short video on the FIVB twitter where heather didn't say much other than "It's a long season and we want to be ready".

Well the 23rd ranked team had already beaten #7 and #10 in pool play and were undefeated. Them losing to the 6th ranked team certainly wasn't a certainty for #6, especially with rally scoring and #23 playing well and undefeated. Poland now has two teams in the semis...Brazil and the US have 1

The Latvians is an excellent win if its midseason, but not so much right now when they are 4-4 on the year and clearly not in mid season form. That German team is not in Nick/Phil's class. But even so if the match were a close three setter than I could see your point but it wasn't. April and Kerri on to the gold medal match despite playing some very bad volleyball. Kerri is nowhere near 100% and April looked super slow. Probably just rust for her. Germany really gave the match away. If Kerri plays AVP, its possible she could catch Karch this year. If not, I wonder if she comes back next year to try?

Poland win it over Evandro/Pedro. Pretty boring match. Poland's quick attacks were interesting but a more aggressive ref would have shut a lot of that down. I really dont understand the Evandro/Pedro team. Both players best point scoring tool is blocking (except when Evandro's serve is going) and neither can play defense. A few times both this week and last, Evandro killed a jump serve, but then the other team scrambled it up to get a decent, but not good set, but then a shot that 80% of defenders on tour get falls in front of Evandro. Interested to see how Poland builds on this. Huge win
