OMG #13 Hawaii vs #15 Penn State in the first round!? Say it ain't so! Could very well happen. Regionalization at its finest.

You've got Washington twice, as both Conference Champion and a Locked At-Large Bid. Need to change the latter to UCLA.

Some's driving is horrendous and am glad that we're safe here in our region. Keep away I say. Those roots which came up in disruption to the trail appeared ever so timely.

v It would seem as though some lack executive decision making processing skills. Committe placements, it'd contend for a UH team placed as ~20th best in the post season NCAAs and 7x penn at an even higher rank of around 16th-18th best. THEY WON'T BE 1st ROUND OPPONENTS. Psu to nc. Uh to MO. Uh vs FSU in the 1st.

I'm not saying it *will* happen, but their relative rpi doesn't preclude them from ending up in the same sub-regional. In 2014 Hawaii and Duke had top 30 RPI's and met in the 1st round. We HAVE seen two teams in the 16-30ish range playing in the 1st round. Regionalization is a bitch. What makes things even further "unfathomable" is not that Hawaii is in the 20 range for RPI, but that Penn State is.

It seems crazy that Hawaii and Penn State could meet in the first round but I can see it-they're both going to be fly-ins somewhere. I think the Committee will send them where a fly-in (or two) is needed to fill out the subregional, someplace like Seattle (Seattle would be more likely than Northern California). That would suck for Hawaii, Penn State, and Washington but half the tourney is a joke anyway so par for the course.

Yeah, I was going to say that kind of thing usually happens in Seattle, home of the original "Regional of Death" (2010). Hopefully they will break the pattern. They made us beat USC three times in 2013 - hopefully they won't make us beat Hawaii two times in 2016, or at least until we can face off in a regional.

I know that I want Hawaii to have s shot at revenge but the Huskies deserve an easier subregional.

Stay away from playing balls off of that low ceiling in Bohler.

OMG #13 Hawaii vs #15 Penn State in the first round!? Say it ain't so! It ain't so. Hawaii will likely end up at UCLA with San Diego or, more likely, at Washington again. As much as Trojan and others may wish it to be so, the committee is not sticking Penn St, Stanford and Hawaii in the same subregional. I'm willing to take bets.

32 Conference Champions (Auto-Qualifiers)11/21 RPI number is in parentheses *Conferences with a regular-season Champion (no tournament) *Green teams have clinched the AQ.
* ACC – North Carolina (10) America East – New Hampshire (139) * AAC – Southern Methodist (33) Atlantic 10 – Dayton (27) Atlantic Sun – Lipscomb (54) * Big 10 – Nebraska (3) * Big 12 – Kansas (6) Big East – Creighton (18) Big Sky – North Dakota (98) Big South – High Point (111) *Big West – Hawaii (28) Colonial – James Madison (51) Conference USA – Western Kentucky (15) Horizon – Cleveland State (39) *Ivy – Princeton (77) MAAC – Fairfield (122) MAC – Northern Illinois (52) MEAC – Howard (160) MVC – Missouri State (46) *MWC – Boise State (29) NEC – LIU Brooklyn (202) OVC -- Murray State (96) *Pac-12 – Washington (11) Patriot – American (87) *SEC – Missouri (7) SoCon – Samford (136) Southland – Texas A&M Corpus-Christi (62) Summit – Denver (107) Sun Belt – Coastal Carolina (34) SWAC – Alabama State (195) WAC – UT Rio Grande Valley (123) *WCC – BYU (8) (22) Bubble Teams competing for (13) spots
Big West 58 Cal Poly
Cal Poly probably doesn't deserve to be on this list. Their RPI can't really improve, they only have one top 50 win, even thought it is a top-25 win over Western Kentucky. A 50-something RPI with nothing really to sell but one victory isn't a good case. But they are probably the best looking contender from the Big West, so I'm giving them a mention here. Good luck next season jake!
Hey troy,
Thanks for the consideration.
Going to depend on how big CAL POLY's win over #20 Western Kentucky (#15 RPI) the Conf USA Champs is viewed by the committee members. POLY,...getting in can only add a "touch of class" to postseason festivities.
Let's not forget crazier thinks have happened!!!
